The Apricot Hotel is a lovely family-run lodging which is in the centre of Istanbul, near all the sites in historic Sultanahmet. From here, you can easily walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia (some of the hotel rooms even have views of these), just literally a few blocks away. The Underground Cistern, the setting of the 007 film, “From Russia with Love” is well worth a visit, and is also close to the hotel. A short walk to the waterfront, the hotel is very close to the mouth of the Bosphorus Strait which is the perfect place for an evening stroll. Another beautiful area for a stroll is the Hippodrome, a popular park which was formerly a Roman racetrack. The friendly hotel staff will offer the best of Turkish hospitality and will advise guests on how to best take advantage of their time in Istanbul. All of the rooms come as doubles with double beds, private bathrooms, a minibar, a direct phone, wireless internet service, individual air conditioning, international TV channels and a central heating system. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served in the hotel bar/café. Other niceties include a book swap service, the Turkish daily news and more. There is a PC with free internet in the lobby. A nice budget accommodation with a wonderfully central location!
