This hotel enjoys a very good location in the heart of Sultanahmet within reach of all major tourist sights. The modern side of the city, over the sea of Marmara and bustling Taksim square can be reached by a short taxi ride. (06/07 JMG) This is a very traditional building dating back to the 16th century, renovated for the modern traveller. The original house was built for the famous Ottoman Grand Vezir who lived between 1512 and 1560. The hotel is located in Sultanahmet, close to the historic centre of the city and within easy walking distance of Santa Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the underground cisterns and the Grand Bazaar.
