Unfortunately this hotel was below average and not up to standard. We had dead bugs all over our room including a dead cockroach in the bathroom. The towels were covered in black hairs as was the bathroom floor. I don't know how this hotel is still up and running, but I would assume this is not up to par with health care standards.
While the staff did accommodate our request to check in an hour early and the bed was comfortable...there were definitely more bad things about this hotel than good. The door to our room was very hard to open and close. The fire extinguisher box outside of the room had broken glass in it and when we walked into the room we were hit with a smell I can only describe as a very used Port-A-Potty. Even with the Febreeze I had with me, it was still very overpowering. The TV remote did not work and the walls were in serious need of paint and upkeep. The water pressure in the shower was a joke as I could not get the shampoo out of my hair. We had a couple with us in the next room and it was totally different. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave and a really old A/C unit. Their room had coffee maker and a much newer AC unit. The picture quality of the TVs was terrible. This was a cheap hotel so some of these issues are understandable, but overall I would never stay here again. Spend the extra money and stay in one of the more upscale hotels downtown.
The plugin in the bathroom did not work, the clock did not work, the telephone flashed red, and the television remote didn't work. Once you got past the things that didn't work, the room was clean and the bed slept very well.
The hotel had my reservation correct, but the room had a funny smell. It was very quiet and there were no major issues.
The room was tolerable. The shower was the biggest problem. The water pressure was almost nonexistent. The water temperature was either hot or cold and would change back and forth all on it's own. Wi-fi is a joke. I connected to the hotel wi-fi 2 times over the weekend and it would drop the connection after just a few minutes. Most of the time I used the connection to the college next door.
Crummy breakfast and the 'free wi-fi' signal came from the community college next door.
The cost was low, the quality was low. The bed was actually sunken in from others sleeping in it. When I turned in the bed at night the springs were so loud it virtually woke me up. The bathroom had a stand up shower that was difficult to turn around in. The carpet was awful, stains, areas that were fraying. The internet costs $2 per hour at this place. Rediculous. . .I never thought a Super 8 was high society until I stayed at this place. To their credit, the front office staff was friendly.
This is a great hotel to goto for a decent budget. The employees were very kind and thoughtful.
This hotel is very good for my cash. This hotel also
I STAYED AT THE ECONO LODGE AND TRIED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION FOR MY SECOND NIGHT WHCIH TRAVEL WEBSITE COULDNT DO, WHICH I AM VERY MAD ABOUT, THE ECONO LODGE CHARGED MY ** EXTRA FOR INCIDENTAL CHARGES PER NIGHT TO MY CREDIT CARD AND WHEN I ASKED THEM ABOUT IT THE MANAGER SAID IT WOULD TAKE 3 BUSINESS DAYS TO BE REFUNDED TO MY CREDIT CARD THE WAS BS... THE BED WAS VERY HARD THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN THE TOILET WOULDNT FLUSH PROPERLY, THE WATER IN THE SHOWER WAS NOT HOT AND THE NIGHT PERSON AHD KIDS RUNNING AROUND ALL NIGHT WHICH I COMPLAINED ABOUT.. I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND THE PLACE EVEN TO MY WORSE ENEMY . THIS ECONO LODGE IS WORHT MAYBE ** A NIGHT AND THATS OVE3RSTATING IT.
The hotel charges too much for the type of room it is. It had dirty towels and the heater didn't work proper. The shower kept going from cold to hot. The customer service was horrible as well.
Horrible! The people working there were rude. the room was okay, but the bed made my back hurt so badly.
Rude, and dirty from the rooms to the front office manager
I am normally a pretty laid-back person, but this pushed my limits. Dirty bedding, cranky air, breakfast was not worth the effort, toilet didn't work well.
