At Coconut Villa, you get the experience of a top-class resort for a fraction of the price. The small, secluded, private beach is among the nicest on Samui even if not great for swimming (shallow, seaweed); the experience is so much better than on the overcrowded Lamai or Chaweng... Swings between the palms are cool and there is also a free kayak. The design is not particularly edgy, but nice and modern. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Thai food at the restaurant is acceptable but not great. Overall this place is absolutely perfect for couples (think seaside dinners by the candles) but if you're after nightlife it is probably not for you (20-30 mins to Lamai by scooter; taxis cost a fortune).
For some people, the location will be a problem, but for us it was a big plus; the food at the restaurant could be better
Nice location, but far from any shopping, nightlife, ...
No inroom wifi, rooms are not wow and look better on the pictures. Hotel staff misinformed us about ferry prices and possibilities: they tried to sell us one of their deals with a ferry company. Breakfast was so and so.
This is a beautiful resort with a good restaurant in a quite area, with quality beachchairs, etc.
They promised us two times to call us back when we had a question (one time about a motorcycle, the other time about the room), and both times they did not call. Furthermore, they showed up late at night at our door and asked if we called them, but we didn't. Staff is friendly though.
The hotel is new and very nice. We stayed in the room with pool access and it is just amazing. The room itself is nice and clean, outsanding housekeeping service every day. The staff is smiling and helpful, however some of them speak just very basic english :) The location has good and bad side. You can consider the beach pretty much as private. Otherwise there is nothing around the hotel and if you want daily nightlife you need to rent a motorbike or use taxi. There isa shuttle bus going to different places for free. Breakfast is ok and they try to chang the selection a little over days. I can recommend the hotel, we had a great time!
Location far from everything which could be also big advantage for those who seek quit and lovely place. High prices in restaurant and spa.
the hotel is very privet and quite
the problem with being far from all is that the nearest supermarket is 1.5km.
peaceful and relaxing so many beautiful smiles.
Had problem with drain smells but on reporting this were changed to other accomodation
I'd like to say thanks to the staff and the managers of the hotel! They made my stay comfortable and relax! I lived at the room with pool acsess. It was great! The room is big and comfortable, with new furniture and nice design. The territory of surrouding area is clean and green as the jungle! The restaurant is nice, they make very taste food as thai and international. Also they have intresting shuttle excursions every single day, which are free and you can sighseeing the Samui. I strongly recommend this resort for honeymoon couples, families and solo visitors who want to feel relax and quite ( I was alone, making serious project and at the same time had great rest). The pictures which are about the hotel the same as they are in real.
Only one disadvantage: my advise to managers - to extend the menu!
Well designed Hotel with lots of swimming and sunbath facilities as well as seaside restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
great hotel staff, no other hotels near by, just palm trees all arround, in the middle of tropical paradise, nice beach, good for couples or families for a quite holiday... closest shopping Lamai Beach about 20 mins by taxi 500 bath.
really nothing bad I can say about this place, I will definitely return
Excellent design and rooms but poor management. Staff hardly speaks english, and has no clue what the offered menu is about. Different prices are charged and food bill was incorrect.
Christmas diner was reduced from 2500bath to 1500bath and we applied because of friends taking part too. The violin and singer were playing out of tune and the dancing was poor, something that would be arranged in high cold school. 1 cold turkey for 45 people is not enough, the shrimps and lobster were the only real good food. The show ende 1,5 hours earlier than planned and we feld like we where rushed to eat. Even though the hotel was not even half full we had to pay 3 times as much as we paid before to extend our stay, which we did not.
