UK Award Winner BedandBreakfast 2009 - 2010. In one of the best locations in Central London but with budget prices quiet yet within 100 yards of Marble Arch and Oxford Street. A beautiful Regency townhouse, typical of many in Central London that were built for the wealthy 200 years ago.The Parkwood is just across the road from Hyde Park at Speaker's Corner. It is also just one minute from Marble Arch, the start of Oxford Street, one mile of continuous shopping! West End theatres are within walking distance and Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, the Peter Pan statue and the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, etc., are just a walk across the park. The room prices are remarkably good value for this location (see the Lowest Price Guarantee on their Prices page) and the hotel is registered 3-Diamonds by the AA and the English and London Tourist Boards.Access from Heathrow Airport is particularly easy by Heathrow Express (15 minutes to Paddington Station) then a five-minute taxi ride to the Hotel.
it was very clean
size and layout of my room
I appreciated the value, the courtesy, the excellent breakfast and the room amenities.
There was no elevator.
The location is superb, right by Oxford Street.
The room was pretty small but I've seen smaller. The breakfast is only served until 9 o'clock and I actually never managed to be ready in time ;-) Also you have to be out of your room at 10.30 on the day of departure which I think is rather early.
Excellent English breakfast, friendly reception
the location of the hotel was perfect -the staff were nice
the room appeared poor, old and small but was functional
