The location is great for visiting Clifty Falls State Park and Kentucky Speedway.
I did not realize my room was handicap accessible or that 'standard room' meant one king size bed.
Personnel were all friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Quickly moved us into another room when we reported the A/C was not working. Good breakfast buffet food & excellent coffee. Quiet room. No noticeable traffic noise.
Had to move coffee pot to bathroom electrical plug as the short cord would not reach any available plugs in main room. Occasionally, the room door did not self-close completely.
This hotel is better than any hotels in small Madison , Indiana town.
Handicap room bed smelled faintly of urine. Live roach on its back in bathroom. Room furniture was not comfortable, and it was soiled.
Indoor pool & wonderful hot breakfast.
Elevator broke down but was not a deal breaker for us.
We arrived very late, and the lady was very nice. The room while it seemed clean, smelled very musty. The eggs at the buffet were great! It was nice that all the rooms had a fridge and a microwave. Just couldnt adjust to the smell in the room. Sprayed some Febreze that helped slightly. Otherwise everything was ok...
We are a family of 4 and reserved a king suite with a sofabed for 2 nights while in town for a family wedding; there were no rooms available with 2 double/queen beds. Upon arriving, we found that the 'sofabed' only had a twin size mattress. Thankfully we were offered a rollaway bed, which would not physiclly fit in the room without blocking the doorway, so we had to move 2 pieces of furniture to accomodate it. The room was in poor condition: the carpet was dirty, there was obvious water damage along the wall adjacent to the bathroom, the caulking around the sinks needed to be replaced, there was a musty odor, the lights kept flickering, and aside from that the air conditioner worked only sporadically.....but worst of all, there were live cockroaches in the room. We found 3 of these unwelcome guests late a night after our kids were asleep. We checked out the following morning and were offered an apology and a $50 credit. We were very dissappointed with the hotel given the fact that we had booked the room well in advance for $125 per night (and that was the AAA discounted rate). The room needed renovation, was not a good value, and we left disgusted!
