Located just 24 Kilometres from Melbourne Airport, Pullman Melbourne On The Park hotel is in the heart of East Melbourne within the city's main sports and entertainment district. It is directly opposite Melbourne Cricket Ground and enjoys stunning views of Fitzroy Gardens, Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open tennis tournament.
Good location if you want to be close to city & the inner city suburbs
The hotel is in desperate need of updating
I loved the fact that we were upgraded to a relaxation suite free of charger... the room was perfect..
assistance from concierge
The staff were very helpful and friendly
The shower water came out like a tap and wet the bathroom floor.
Location just opposite Fitroy Gardens was very nice. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the main city centre which meant it was a bit quieter. Staff were very helpful. Room, and leisure facilities were great.
If you wanted to be right in the city centre it was a short walk or tram ride.
Service was excellent location for mcg was excellent pricing was good and staff very helpful
Suite was quite comfortable and location was pretty handy to everything
Lounge/Sofa in suite was atrocious. Plastic/fabric was terrible. Looked low class and you could not comfortable sit on it for any period of time. Room cards deactivated twice (not due to contact with any magnetic interference or contact). This is a real pain when you need to access the room urgently and you are forced to head back to reception, stand in line and then have a front desk person patronise me and treat me like I caused the issue. I was most offended and annoyed.
we were extremely comfortable
Our only issue was the positioning of the light switches - the switch for the bath and above bar niche was by the entrance door. No bedside lamps or any form of subtle lighting for night illumination at bed
close to tennis centre venue for concert we went to.
Considered to be over priced. Hot shower pressure pathetic - just a dribble. Lounge in room was uncomfortable - harsh nylon material cover. paid $450 a night for room (although I did appreciate the free up grade) - yet still had to pay $45 for valet parking. buffet breakfast $29 = hmm. A Hilton burger for ? $25 or whatever then $4 to bring to room, and a glass of ordinary Red wine for $12, considered to be excessive..
During my stay I found the staff very friendly and the service excellent.
I was under the impression that the room had a king size bed. This was not the case, it was two single beds joined together by an underblanket. This put a dampener on the stay.
