Great location. Right in the middle of a bunch of great neighborhoods with restaurants, sights, etc. Also close to metro stations and bus stops so very easy to get around. Also close by the bus stop for the bus that goes to and from the airport so easy to get to from the hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful and gave great restaurant recommendations. Definitely a good place for people traveling on a budget as you can stay in smaller rooms with shared bathrooms. Rooms and shared bathrooms are clean.
Room was very small and not well finished (gap between floor and wall). Not a luxury hotel, but overall, great place to stay while traveling on a budget.
The place is a gem, the location is for those interested in safaris only, as there is much wildlife around - after all it is located in le quartier latin "chaude" Long legged strippers having a smoke outside their bar across the street, complete with bikers on the prowl, drug addicts so shaken their friends have to lite their smokes for them, and much more.
Ant invasion thru the brick walls, promptly dealt with by the most courteous staff as they moved me to a new room, with no view of the ants but a much better view of the other wildlife. All this aside I would stay again and will June 19 thru 23rd, 2010 as I have another conference in one of my favourite cities. Did I feel safe, yes. Was it fun, Yes. Is it handy, yes.
