bathroom needed repair and updating. Shower leaked onto the floor. Toilet Rocked. Toilet tank ran intermittently during the night.
room smelled like cigarette smoke
The pool and hot pool were clean (even though the ducks come by for a swim in the AM). Best of all, they are located right across the street (walking) from the main shopping/entertainment/club center of Myrtle Beach and are a 5-min drive to the beach.
We checked-in right after our room was cleaned and the chemical smell (though fruity) lingered. I wish I could've opened the windows even a little bit because it was overwhelming for the entire weekend and I have allergies.
Location and price
Room needed new carpet and an updated bathroom
Wonderful suite with fantastic bed. I wanted to take the pillows home!
The indoor carpet in the halls was worn and dated, but renovations were going on too.
I liked the location, near Broadway at the Beach.
I think the hotel was loud. I had a difficult time sleeping.
Location was perfect. Girl at the check in desk, Mercedes was awesome at taking care of my fiance and I
Nope. Loved it.
Proximty to attractions and Highway 17.
Farther from the beach than I had thought.
I likes how it was really close to broadway and the shopping centers.
There were a lot of kids and cheerleading competitions going on.
The hotel's proximity to Broadway at the Beach and the fact that it is priced XXX less than the hotel on-site make it very appealing.
The walls were kind of thin. We had a very 'active' couple on one side and a snorer on the other.
The location and the staff are great.
The carpet, especially in the rooms, needs to be replaced asap. The dirty carpet gives the feel that the rooms are not clean.
Good central location
Room and beds were poor quality
my wife and I had a great time...when I return to myrtle beach this is the pace I will stay..clean room and the best nite sleep we had in any hotel..highly recc
Nothing too special about the hotel but it was pretty nice.
Location is a little weird.
The location was great!
This hotel is pet friendly and I love dogs I just choose not to take them with me on vacation. This dog bark constantly! My AC kept going out had to call to have someone to come service it twice.
The staff needs to actually know their policies and be able to get a customer traveling for work a receipt without an argument.
I first stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Broadway about three years ago and had a wonderful experience with my family. The cleanliness of the hotel and warm, inviting decor were a definite plus. I visited the area again last year and was pleasantly surprised to see that nothing has changed. I highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express Broadway.
We stayed 4 nights. The rooms were clean. They say that the hotel has been totally renovated. I think the mattresses still need to be upgraded. The noise from other guests was a big problem.
Room was satisfactory, breakfast was satisfactory, service representatives have some knowledge of the area. However, the swimming pool is not accurate with website pictures and the hot tub was full of green slime.
had stayed here before, but never again. our first room was dirty and still had cleaning stuff in the bathroom and the floor was filthy with hairclips on it from the previous guest. sink was full of dirt and dont think the sheets on the bed were changed.'
This hotel was just a short ride from the beach and across the street from several attractions. The breakfast was nice, the staff helpful, and it was not very crowded. And the pool was perfect for my kids.
