Pros:
They didn't have the class of car I had and wanted to charge me more for an upgraded cast. I refused and wanted what I was agreed to online. They made it look like they did me a favor after I shouldn't budge gave me a bigger car for the price I had reserved for. Other then that, everything was great.2.8 Poor

first car was filthy, empty on gas, and after driving at speed, had a loud growling noise in rear. Swapped cars, lost gas I put in first car, this one smelled of cigarette smoke and interior lights would not go off. Had to walk 2 blocks to get car and walk back 2 blocks to return car. Now a Lyft driver says the automatic Fastpass in the car sends the toll cost to your charge card along with a $6.oo convenience fee!! Has not happened yet, hopefully will not. We have rented cars for 50 years and this was the worst experience to date.10.0 Wonderful

My rental was a beautiful mustang convertible. It was a pleasure to drive and the customer service was wonderful.Cons:

The woman at the counter scolded us for being late and said she couldn't give us a car. She was looking at a different customer's name even though I gave her my full name and she confirmed it. Then when she realized it was the wrong name she gave us a car but the car was filthy. Smelled horrible, like smoke and food. Filled with sand and dirt all over seats and floors. It wasn't even the sized car we asked for and prepaid for. We asked for anything else at all, didnt matter size, and she wouldn't give us anything even though there were at least 10 other cars in the lot. This was a hotel pick up so there were maybe 15 spaces for cars total. Possibly 20. I'm highly considering never renting with hertz again even though I've had been renting with them in the past when they have good deals.2.0 Poor

I drove from Long Beach to Newport to pick up a rental car and they didn’t have a car for my reservation. Customer service was terrible, barely even an apology or attempt to remedy the situation.6.0 Okay
