The room, #9, was disappointing, lacking character, and off behind the kitchen. The house is lovely, and the common rooms are stunning, which makes it all the more jarring that the room was so subpar. Mismatched vinyl plank flooring, batteries dead in most of the remote controls, and the ceiling fan squeaking. Oh, and it smelled faintly of stale cigarette smoke… Yeah, disappointing.
