Hotel Pelops, one of the first hotels in Ancient Olympia to open its doors to visitors over 40 years ago, offers guests a welcoming atmosphere and enviromnent, with charming interiors and all modern comforts. The family run property is conveniently situated just off the main road, in a quiet and peaceful corner of the city, right next to the Orthodox church, and about 800 metres away from the archaeological site and the Olympic Games museum, that are both easily accessible with a short 15-minute walk. Area attractions also include the beaches of Kaiafas, Kato Samiko and Zaharo, located approximately 18 km away from the hotel, and considered to be three of the most beautiful beaches in all Greece. Taverna Pelops, the hotel's restaurant, has a bar and garden views and serves breakfast and dinner. Free parking is offered on site.
Good price/quality. Clean and spatious rooms. PC with Internet available. Close to entrance of archeological site. Staff is efficient, friendly and speaks English very fluently.
staff very friendly, location convenient, room clean
breakfast was disappointing (canned fruit vs. fresh), bed was harder than we like
I was made to feel as though I was a member of the family. The attention to detail, the outstanding dinner and breakfast and the overall comfort and atmosphere of the Hotel Pelops is second to none! I look forward to staying again next summer and every time I visit Olympia!
