Pros:
I didn't like anything about renting from Hertz. They didn't have a car when they said they would. Their local agents did what they could, however their reservation service is a joke. I wasted an entire day of my vacation trying to get the car I had ordered and then had to take a smaller vehicle or not have a car. Hertz gave no compensation. What an absolute joke.Cons:
Hertz should change their name to Hurts! What a joke of a company to rent from! I have no idea how they have the reputation they have as a quality rental company!Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Enterprise just always seems more "together" in their operations. Never have an issue for long wait.Cons:
Kayak still has some for the locations close for COVID taking reservations. Had to change pick-up. No big deal, Enterprised called and alerted me before hand.10.0 Wonderful

I booked this rental at <$100 total estimated and it was close to $400. I was put in a larger vehicle not because I requested it, but I was led to believe they were doing me a favor. I was issued an external GPS but the care was also equipped with GPS. I was told the drop-off fee to another location would be waived. I'm not sure it was. I really feel like I got upcharged under high pressure situations (raining coming into LAX) and tight time leaving SNA. If someone could review this rental, I'd be most appreciative. The service was superb. Even though we were a couple minutes late, they were very accommodating. They even upgraded the car.Cons:
The car, a Jeep Compass, we rented wasn't very comfortable, lacked power and wasn't very ergonomic. It did get us to where we wanted to go.10.0 Wonderful

The gas tank was only 3/4 full at pickup. Because the rental agent failed to note that in the computer, I was charged a gas fee of $50 upon return even though I returned the car almost 7/8this full.Budget

Unexpected costs from insurance. They told me I didn’t have insurance for the trip right before I was leaving while I was standing in the parking lot. I unded up spending way more than planned and I’m really miffed about it. They didn’t explain how much more it was going to cost before I left. It felt a little bit like they tricked me.4.8 Mediocre

The vehicle was ok, not the cleanest but, the drop off and complimentary shuttle at LAX was excellent.Cons:
Make sure you have a paper copy of your insurance or you will get a very hard time. We had no issues when we rented at the LAX location and no issues dropping off there but, the very rude man the Anaheim Avis/Budget rental office almost didn’t let us rent as he was angry we went through kayak and had no wifi for me to show him my insurance document. He was argumentative and down right rude. I will let people know not to rent from this location again. He racked the bill up as high as he could to make a buck!9.6 Wonderful
