Overview

Located on the bustling cruise port, the upscale Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino features amenities that many Aruba hotels can never match. Plus, the hotel is massive resort offers two distinct properties inside, the adult-only Renaissance Marina and the family-friendly Ocean Suites.

The Renaissance is the only hotel in downtown Oranjestad, Aruba's hub for nightlife, shopping, and restaurants. While Eagle and Palm Beach are both 15-minutes or more away, the resort offers its own private island and small lagoon on the Ocean Suites side. Like the hotel, the island is divided into an adult-only area and family-friendly area. Other on-site amenities include two casinos, one being 24-hours, a luxury mall, a spa, 24-hour gym, and eight restaurants. The hotel also owns the outdoor market near the Marina.

Both the Marina and Ocean Suites rooms have been renovated to combine vintage glam with beachy colors and modern amenities. All one-bedroom suites boast balconies overlooking picturesque island surroundings. Accommodations at the Marina are smaller than the suites at Ocean Suites. All rooms feature MP3 players, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Family suites include more in-room features.

Pros (+) Loved the location, type of people vacationing, the boat that leaves from the hotel lobby is one of a kind, the private island is so relaxing and beautiful, the staff is all friendly and eager to help, so glad we picked this resort!
Cons (-) We had an issue with our room one night and the front desk assisted us with switching rooms.
