The luxurious 4-star Hotel Sultana Royal Golf is 20 km from the Moroccan town of Ouarzazate just south of the Atlas Mountains, which is known as “the door to the desert”. The striking scenery, from bare, high plateau to escarpments, from desert to oases, has made this Berber town a major film location. Facing the Atlas mountains and overlooking Lake El Mansour, the Sultana Royal Golf enjoys an exceptional view over Ouarzazate. The cuisine is flavourful and caters for all international tastes with its menus of Moroccan, French and Italian cuisine.
This was truly an amazing experience. Just outside Ouarzazate this is an oasis of beauty and tranquility. Hospitality is in the hands of the owner family at all times busy to keep you happy. Cuisine a marvelous melting of french and moroccan cuisine for a price-value that beats any competitor. If you are coming or going to the desert, this is the perfect place to exit or enter back to civilization.
I did like the lake setting, the breakfast was O.K. My wife and I ate dinner every night at the hotel restaurant which we enjoyed. The bedroom was very large ,which was nice and the view was good.
The hotel is quite remote, there are many unfinished buildings in the area, owing to the developer going bust some 4 yrs ago.The hotel is being extended and the builders were active while we staying there. The hotel is too far from the main town, and surprisingly there is no golf course ,well there was but that had not been maintained properly and had fallen into disrepair.
Everything, food, room, location, the owners welcomed us and every day specially during breakfast they made sure that we are fine etc.
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are amazing. The view of the lake is fantastic. The owners are french and the chef is professional. I recomend it to everybody!
If you are going to visit Ourzazate, remember that this hotel is quite far from it, like 20 kilometers.
The hospitality offered by Veronique was excellent and the place is simply magical....we did not stay for long, but it was long enough to make us want to come back....
Not that we didn' like, but its useful to say that the hotel is 2km outsde Ouarzazate....it kind of makes it easier to find given that its the middle of nowhere which makes it so special.
