The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.Reviewed Apr 23 2024

Staff was very nice. Wait was long. This facility is not like most rental car places in the airport, where they give you a slot number and you walk out to a lot of cars ready to go. They have to call someone to bring a car up, wait for the vehicle to be brought up before they can finish inputting your reservation and when there’s 20 people in line it’s very time-consuming so so be prepared to wait. Also, they couldn’t give me a total cost with insurance and additional add-ons until I put my credit card in and ran it. That was super bogus!!!Reviewed Mar 3 2024

Cons:Payless announcements are really small. It was hard for us to locate the pick up hub. Only afrer looking around thoroughly did we find it, inside Avis and Hertz. My driving license is digital and I have no physical/plastic version because, given Covid, my city developed such platform recently and stopped issuing plastic licenses. The first employee was unempathic and said I could not pick up the car nor my wife could even though it was prepaid. A second person came and she called the manager and in 1 minute agreed to change the reservation to my wife, as she did carry a physical license.Reviewed Mar 22 2021

Pros:The manager was super nice. They ONLY accept credit cards for van rentals. Wasn't stated anywhere. So we had to go back home and get our credit card. Apparently, the guy at the counter assumed we wouldn't be back? So when we returned, we had to wait for a van to be cleaned. Then the van's front seat didn't move up so we had to wait again to get another van sanitized and cleaned. So the plus side of the rental - the manager knocked a little $$ off because I was waiting for about an hour and a half.Cons:The customer service behind the counter - the India guy was rude!!! OMG rude. And, of course, I got the same one when I returned the vehicle. I had to switch payment from my CC to my debit. He was rude about that. The rental agreement must've been packed because it wasn't in the van. Then he charged me for being late. The nice lady next to him said the time starts when they run the card, not even when you get the vehicle and leave. Mind you, I was waiting an hour and a half for the van to be ready for us. That needs to change. They knocked the hourly rate off, but the guy asked the lady why I was being stingy because we already had $50 knocked off the rental...Ummmm one had nothing to do with the other. So Payless at Dallas Love Field - Ya'll need to get rid of that guy. He's rude AF. Everyone else was nice but him. Also, don't start charging people when the card is ran...charge when they scan the paperwork when you exit. Because that is when the rental period should truly start!Reviewed Aug 10 2020
