The Boathouse is wonderfully located right on Kata Beach and close to some very good local restaurants. The terrace faces the beach and the bay. The location was the crowning glory as the hotel is a few footsteps from the beach. We were however expecting a very much quieter and more secluded spot. The area is very busy, so if you're after a bustling area with heaps of tourists and many choices of outside restaurants then this will be perfect. Unfortunately due to no fault of the hotel the beach is very polluted, however seeing as this is the hotel's best asset one would have thought they would employ staff to do daily clean ups of the beach in front, it really would go a long way to helping the situation.
