Just five minutes from Portland International Airport. MAX Rail station to airport and downtown across the street. Park-and-Fly packages available. Hotel is 30 minutes from Columbia Gorge.
It was clean and comfortable and public transportation near by.
Tv did not work and staff unable to fix, it made my stay vary boring.
Limited breakfast options. No bread, cereal or milk.
Laundry facility and spa were great. Everything was OK, except the dark haired, heavy set receptionist. Man, we weren¿t on vacation to listen to her!
The receptionist wanted to talk to us about everything under the sun. She wasn¿t around to help us on a couple occasions. When we asked her to talk to a guy yelling outside our room she refused. Carpet was filthy. AC cover kept falling off waking us up.
The staff are really nice and i feel like they actually appreciate my business unlike other or most hotel staff based from a few bad experiences i had before ,the girls that work here are awesome
wish there was more restaurant options but the max station across the street helps a lot
We checked in late, about 9:30 PM. Had two rooms, one for parents with tired, impatient toddlers. The receptionist seemed like we were bothering her and was rather surly. The morning receptionist was friendly and helpful. - Rooms 102 & 104
The room was advertised as a 1queen bed suite. No 1 queen beds only 2 queen beds rooms. The room was supposed to be non smoking, but the room smelled like smoke.
Nice staff. Got us extra blankets and made checkin and ccheck out fast.
Nothing- fine for the star rating.
The beds weren't that bad.
The staff who checked us in was not very pleasant. She offered us only one towel when we used the hot tub. Two grown men were to share a towel and return it before we head to our room. There was hair on my sheets and a burnt mark/stain on my roommates bed
Convenient to public transportation. Pleasant staff and quiet, clean rooms.
proximity to the train
advertised that it had a safe in the room and did not the carpets smelled musty and the door lock was so loose that I was afraid someone could break in while we were out
Easy check in, elevator, nice breakfast.
Not really, there wasn't anything bad to say!
The stuff was rude
It was acceptable
a nice smoking room with granite counters a microwave and a little fridge. the television had good channel selection, there was a fan in the bathroom and 2 queen sized beds. also, an elevator took us to the room on the 3rd floor, which was really nice.
the manager talked too much and was kind of annoying, but still professional, i guess, just annoying and talkative. required a $20 deposit of cash or major credit card. thankfully we had cash. refused to accept our credit gift card and debit cards for dep
Ok furniture, good cable chanels
not a very nice area, very small room
The Location was Great and the Staff was very helpful! Nice little breakfast to get you going.
The surrounding grounds need to be cleaned, trash about. Quick police call pick up cig butts and papers.
The price was great. It had a refrigerator and microwave in it.
They should use fitted sheets on the mattresses because the flat sheets don't stay on. I would have enjoyed some more choices for the continental breakfast like cereal and milk. There was muffins and fruit and juice/coffee.
Decent priced room.
the breakfast was bland and simple.elevator was very slow and creaky.
Considering my frugal price point, I really don't expect much from the places I stay at, but much to my surprise this motel was actually clean, nice, and had a decent staff. As far as I can tell my room had been recently remodeled. The furnishings and amenities are all above average (for this price point) and looked contemporary. The room included a TV, Air conditioning, alarm clock, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and a hair drier. The shower also had an adjustable massage style shower head. There was also a large hot tub/jacuzzi room next to the motel office. I gave it a try and it was very nice. As an added feature, thanks to the large windows in the room, you can watch the nearby traffic drive past. There is also a sauna, but it was being repaired at the time. The breakfast area featured coffee, orange juice, and a variety of pastries. Considering I expected nothing, this was a nice extra. And while I didn't need it, there was a computer in the office for guests to use (for printing airline boarding passes I'm guessing). While the place isn't perfect, and there are still a few signs of wear and tear from a motel this age, it appears that the remodeling and updating of the property is still going on, and the staff and management actually seem to care about the future of the place. The only 'real' problem I had, if you can even call it that is that the pillows were only just okay. People staying in groups of two or more will likely want to get an extra pillow or two. And while it's location is great if you need a place kinda near the airport, or the IKEA/Cascade Station shopping area at the North end of Portland, there really isn't much right next to the motel (in walking distance)... but in an era of everyone having worldwide turn-by-turn navigation in their smartphones is this really such a big deal? Also, some travelers should note that there is a bus/transit center directly across the street. Certainly a lifesaver if I wasn't using a car. I was...
This hotel did not leave me feeling terribly safe as a female alone with no car, so I didn't leave after dark. However, it is super close to the Max Line and made things very easy without a car to go straight from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to my office downtown. The hotel is clean enough and staff are nice enough, however the walls are super thin and you could hear full conversations outside at all hours. One other nice thing is the morning breakfast is supplied by a little local joint across the street and gives you coffee, juice, and a pastry as part of room fee. I ordered eggs, bacon and hashbrowns for $4 though, and it was great supplemented by the free coffee and juice. Overall, the hotel is what you would expect for the neighborhood and price. I would recommend to others if they're looking for a simple, cheap place to stay that is very convenient for travel and public transportation to downtown.
this hotel was a very fun experience. i didnt know my way around town very well and the front desk was helpful to me. with the max station right across the street getting around town was really easy.
