It was perfect all around. Amazing shower, but would have preferred a tub. Salt water pool was a great substitute!
The coffee in the lobby wasn't very good.
Clean, spacious room, downtown. Great room overall.
I paid $28 to overnight park in the lot across th street the first night but found on street free parking the next night - available 5pm-9am.
Downtown location, friendly staff, great breakfast included, clean.
The breakfast area was very crowded, but we found a seat. It seemed as though the area in which guests help themselves to breakfast was too small for the demand at the time we went, and felt a little hectic.
We coulld accommodate people sleeping and people talking in different rooms of the two room suite. It was very clean.
The free breaktast ended too early at 9:30A.
The staff were amazing. We were traveling with small children and they were so accommodating when we forgot a few things.
The one bedroom suite was a little cramped for our family (on the smaller side from other 1 bed suites we have stayed at.
The staff was amazing, wickedly efficient and friendly.
Room was real nice quiet and lots of AMENITIES
We had ants in our room and all we got was a I'm sorry.gonna have to think about staying somewhere else next time
I like the room and having a kitchen
There was no door on the shower. I didn't like that.
Heated salt water pool. Room was fantastic. Complimentary hot breakfast.
It was clean and near downtown. Staff were great.
No free parking, no heated pool, and for happy hour they should offer 1 free drink.
We stayed two nights in early October. The staff was very professional and helpful including both the front desk and valet parking. Very good complimentary hot breakfast, The hotel is situated right in the heart of the city and is walking distance to everything. We were upgraded to a suite , probably as a first time visitor. Rooms were very comfortable and well equipped.
This is a lovely Hotel in a Beautiful city, the staff was first class the room was very nice. The only drawback for some maybe you have to pay $12 a day for parking other than that a great trip!!
This room made me want to pack up my house and move in. The kitchen was so cute and fully functional. I loved that the bedroom and living areas were separate rooms. It was such a comfortable stay.
I have stayed here numerous times since the hotel opened in 2010 and I have never had a complaint. The rooms are large, clean with well-stocked kitchens. The hotel is convenient to the highways and is two blocks from Portsmouth's wonderful downtown area. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Parking is across from the hotel in a public lot and, yes, you have to play. That isn't an issue for me; parking isn't complimentary at many hotels these days. I have stayed in other hotels in the Portsmouth area and none can match this Residence Inn in level of accomodations and service. This is the only place to stay in Porstmouth.
If you are visiting Portsmouth for business or pleasure and you prefer an all-suites hotel this is a very good choice. It is located right downtown, within walking distance of innumerable restaurants and lots of shopping. It is also very close to the water. The suite we had was small but adequate for 2 people with a nice kitchen and bath. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of choices and the food was fresh. They also offer food on some evenings. There is a small bar. The exercise room and pool were not fancy but were clean and adequate. You do have to pay extra for parking, but since parking is tight in downtown Portsmouth you would end up paying anyway.
The hotel is brand new and very clean. It is located right downtown, within easy walking distance of all Portsmouth in-town attractions. Parking is extra, *$/day, but you will be able to leave your car behind in a guaranteed parking spot (and parking is very tight in Portsmouth). City parking woiuld be *$/day so this is a good deal. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet daily with hot eggs, a meat selection, make-your-own waffles, pastries, juices, cereals, fruit etc. There is also an evening meal several nights a week (lasagna, hot dogs/hamburgers). You have to pay for wine or beer but the food is free. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The kitchenette is small but complete (full size refrigerator, small stove, microwave and dishwasher). The sink is outside the shower/tub/toilet area, which I don't like, since one person cannot wash without disturbing someone sleeping. The bed was very comfortable. There was not enough storage area for clothes ( 1 tiny 2-drawer dresser). There were dozens of great restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel has a nice, small pool (indoor) and a small but quite adequate exercise room.
