Location close to town center, grocery store
WiFi didn't work in room. No Ice machine on second floor and only one on first floor was empty. Musty smell to room. Free breakfast was less than satisfactory
staff, cleanliness, beds, overall great experience,
Service and room were both great for the price
Price, and a decent room.
No elevator, rough t/p
The hotel clerk was very friendly
Everything except the night front desk staff, he was not in desk when we came to check in.
Excellent hot breakfast. The room was very clean.
Dog barking next door.
great staff. very professional. Rooms were clean and restaurant diner was wonderful.
The location is not the best. Too far from the main interstate road. Parking spaces are small.
Rooms nice and clean and loved the shower instead of tub. Liked the flooring instead of carpet. Enjoyed the free parking, internet connection and free breakfast.
Wall were thin, and tile in halls don't muffle early am luggage rolling to checkout.
Location, helpful staff.
Breakfast was a joke, no pool or hot tub. Rooms were avg.
Location for where I needed to go, and convenience of breakfast and free internet included.
It was not well-insulated for noise.
The hotel was very clean the staff was extremely helpful room was spacious
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about my stay
It's a nice enough place to stay for the price. Don't expect much from the breakfast experience, and while we slept well in comfortable beds in a clean room, the walls are thin enough to hear neighbors.
No elevator to the second floor, so even though there is a luggage cart available, you'll be schlepping your stuff up and down the stairs. The server in the breakfast area was content to leave wet rags near the food areas--that wouldn't pass inspection
How it took me to get service when I was checking in.
The rooms were not sound proof. You could hear people next door and the hallways were very noisy. Also it is pet friendly and there was a yippy dog next to us. Worst night of sleep I've ever had at a hotel.
price, tv, breakfast,
thin walls, not quite as clean as I would like, but not terrible, small beds.
The room was good clean and the staff was respectable and courteous. Didn't have any issues with my stay and the breakfast was fine also.
We stayed one night during a college visit. The staff was extremely nice and the hotel very clean. Our mattresses were near the end of their service life and were a bit saggy, but the linens were fine. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower rather than a tub - a bummer if you wanted a soak. My biggest gripe is the choice of tile floor in the halls which made rolling suitcases clatter and transmitted speech and music down the hall into our room. The staff and the condition of the hotel made up for those quirks - mostly.
My experience at La Quinta Inn in the past has been wonderful. Everything changed, when on our travels home from Nashville I made a reservation at this location in Radford & was totally disappointed! First off, they have NO elevator. My parents who are in their 70's had to climb 20+ steps to get to their room. To make matters worse, our rooms were completely on the other side of the hotel. Absolutely no help offered with their bags. The smell from the attached restaurant to the hotel, smelled like burnt oil throughout the entire building. Then once we arrived to our rooms the hallway smelled like fish. It was as though guest were cooking in their rooms. The hotel room was clean, the towels were so old & dingy I wouldn't dry my dog with them. Our rooms faced the parking light and the huge parking lights were shining directly into our room as if it was 12 noon. We were awaken at around 6:30am by a large bag of glass beer bottles crashing on the tile floor in the hallway by other guest. The complimentary breakfast was a joke & disgusting. No coffee (empty) , old bruised fruit, cereal (no name brand) etc... Absolutely nothing like the other La Quinta's we have stayed at. It was as if this establishment is owned by another company other then La Quinta. Stay far away from this place. May I add, I have NEVER written a bad review before now. I was so disappointed, I felt it necessary to warn travelers about this place.
The staff were very helpful and recommended places and things to do. Breakfast was abundant with good coffee. The room was clean with the new faux hardwood floors that are really clean. Free wifi easy, little restaurant had some good sandwiches and apps very reasonably priced.
This hotel was perfectly fine. We needed a clean hotel that accepted dogs and that is what we got. The hotel staff was helpful. The room was clean, and, for the most part, it was also quiet.
The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. The complimentary breakfast was good and was very convenient. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative. It was an over all pleasant stay!
We stayed in Radford Va., not Roanoke. The room that I reserved was a king bed and hot tub. upon checking in, found a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa that two people did not need. After checking in and getting ready to go out for the evening I explained to the clerk what had happened. The clerk informed me that she could not change our room because the two rooms with the hot tubs were in use. So much for the idea of a reservation. She did give us a discount on the room. Not what I was looking for! I told her we were going to the bar for a drink while waiying to be picked up and was informed that they couldn't serve alcohol and that we could go to the Best Western across the street which happened to be a highway. The area where the bar is had a notice posted on the door that the liquor license had been suspended. I have stayed in La Quinta many times, this was the worst experience I have ever had with them.
Nice, clean, comfortable, quiet hotel, reasonable rate and a GREAT walk in shower! Only problem was lack of parking when we returned late to the hotel after moving our son into his apartment. We curb parked right in front of the lobby, leaving room for vehicles to get around us.
Exit is 109 NOT 105. Nice place to stay. Staff courtesous and helpful. Pets welcome. No extra fee. Not fancy but definitely clean and comfortable.
