The price was great.
The room stunk to high heaven, the sheets had not been changed (ours had hair and blood stains), and there is not even an outlet in the bathroom to plug in a hair dryer or curling iron. The low price did not make up for the smell of the room, the dirty sheets, and the overall lack of cleanliness. I was disgusted. It would have been well worth $20 extra to stay somewhere that actually changes the sheets between guests.
the hotel was within walking distance to some local restaurants
We called ahead and we were told we could check in early, however upon arrival we were told differently. Also, when we first arrived we were told we would be given a downstairs room due to my injured knee, but this too changed upon check-in.This hotel is run by a small family who reside in the hotel, and while this hotel only has two stars it does include an air conditioner, a mini fridge, a microwave, and free WIFI (if you remember to ask for the password. However, those are the only pluses to this place, everything else is very mediocre, especially the bed. When I asked directions to a place the adults did not know where I was talking about, and resorted to their teenager whom gave me pretty sketchy directions. We ended up never finding the place we had been looking for and went somewhere else. They also were inconsistent with what they would say vs what they would do. First tell...
The location was where I wanted to be and the price was well worth the room.
There was a bar of soap from the previous guest still in the shower and no plug in/outlets in the bathroom. I wish they're had been an additional lock for the door from inside, lever type, as I was traveling by myself. My reception at the hotel was very friendly, courteous and a fast check in. The room was pretty much what I expected, clean and had the very basics. Having a micro and fridge where a bonus, but I would have liked a coffee maker in the room. I felt a little insecure that there was an actual key to the room (not a card) and no secondary lock that I controlled from the inside, like one of those lever types. I live in a big city, and this would have made me feel much more comfortable and safe...especially since it's a motel with direct access to the street. All and all, for the price, I would probably stay here again.
Nice firm bed; clean room; frig, microwave. Free wifi.
no coffee maker. An excellent budget motel. Prompt, friendly service; clean, serviceable room. Easy access. We had planned on camping in the area, got lost, and into town pretty late. The staff answered the night bell promptly, got us checked in very quickly. I love motels like this for budget travel. There's a diner just across the street too.
The bleach smell in the room indicated it was definitely clean. Location was terrific
The bleach smell in the room was almost overpowering. The Greenway probably is actually a one-star for its level of amenities, but good quality for all of that. For a completely no-frills place to crash, this was a really quite good place. The motel is convenient both to the highway and to central Redmond destinations. The room was basic, but very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There was no deadbolt or chain on the door, but I did not feel insecure in any way. Reception was a little disorganized (no office automation at all), but in the end no slower than anyplace else. Normal wear and tear was obvious throughout the motel, but everything was in good repair - all the scrapes and dings and crumbling edges do not indicate actual neglect, just less concern for the cosmetic. However, if prettyness/spit-n-polish is important to you, this will not be the...
