Located in industrial area and a bit away from the city center and train/bus stations. A good place for backpackers with a reasonable price, clean rooms, parking and satisfactory breakfeast. The staff is friendly and they do speak English. If you're travelling by car/motorcycle I would highly recommend this quiet place to have a rest.
There isn't Wi-Fi access which is declared by this hotel
I didn't like the fact that there was no phone to call outside the city. You have to go at another hotel close to this one to do it. Secondly, I think the staff should inform you that you cannot drink water from the tap in Russia.
Good staff, good breakfast.
The rate per night is ok comparing to other hotels in the heart of the city that had rates a lot higher. However, one should weigh all con's and pro's before booking this hotel as there were quite a few negative moments (see below).
The hotel only has 1 room with aircon (sth to consider when traveling in the summer).Obviously, that room was taken. The service of some staff members is still that of the Soviet era.Very disappointing as many reviews on the website praise this hotel and its staff. If you're looking for breakfast included &expect scrambled eggs/orange juice/toast/etc. you won't find them in this hotel: their menu isn't for European guests to say the least (buckwheat and rice pudding for breakfast,no toast, pancakes every day).My husband hardly ate anything, only cornflakes. We asked the hotel for a transfer from Pulkovo I and were ripped off(1,200rub whereas the normal price is around 690rub depending on time of day). When we complained they didn't care.
Clear wide rooms, good brekfast.
Too far from metro. There are free bus from metro, but only at morning and in evening. Personel could be a little bit polite.
I appreciated the room, the price and the staff
It's distant from city center
Pets allowed, private, car parking, personal, garden, gleane, small, pleace in town, breakfast
Relaxed friendly environment
I liked the hotel Amaranta Matisov Domik Hotel very much. Staff was friendly and spoke very well english. I went with my motorbike, there was a good parking for my bike at the hotel it selfs. At night the gate gets closed so the parking is safe. The breakfast I liked too. Rooms were very nice and clean. Good free WiFi available in the reception area. Next time I will visit this hotel again when I visit St. Petersburg.
WiFi available in the room would be nice. It is not realy close to the centre. But public transport is a solution. Taxi to Nevsky Prospect is not expensive, approximately 300 rubel.
