The entire staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We were made very welcome from the start and it continued throughout our stay. Very good food. Plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and service couldn't be faulted so we ate every meal in the restaurant. The room was much larger than we expected with a wonderful sea view. Excellent proximity to shops and beach. Easy and reasonably priced parking. Really good value for money. Being so close to Italy, we visit Sanremo often and have stayed in numerous hotels. This trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We will now certainly be using this hotel in future. A big thank you to the receptionists and our waiter.
Excellent hotel with almost 100 years old traditions of hospitality. Located in one of the best parts of San Remo. Excellent concierge service (Sandra). Excellent housekeeping (changed entire bed linen daily). Exclusive restaurant. For our family of three, we had a very spacious room with a huge balcony/terrace and a great view on the sea and San Remo. Perfect location for soaking up the sun and/or sightseeing trips to the Italian and French Riviera. We even extended our stay. Loved the hotel, loved San Remo, loved Italy.
The city gave us some parking hustle during the Air Show and the Rally (our parking space was commissioned). But with the hotel's staff help it was resulted easily.
2 room apartment was very nice, spacious, with 3 balcony with sea-view.Breakfast was nice in the luxury restaurant.
The hotel itself is a really nice example of grand architecture dating back to the 30's, duly updated and with all modern conveniences. Excellent breakfast and good meals at very, very reasonable prices for the area.
The only negative thing, which for us was really a major disappointment, was the unbelievable streeet noise. It spoilt the entire holiday, 5 days. even on the 4thflooritwas unbearable and forced us to keep the French window shut almost all the time and prevented us from enjoying the spectacular views over the beautiful sea. We even had to keep it closed at night. The traffic just did not stop except for a few hours in the middle of the night. Of course it is not the hotel's fault, but if you seek peace and quiet, look for another location. Because of this, we will not go back. It's probably a lot quieter in the rooms at the back, but they do not have sea views.
. We were very disappointed with the general standard and Booking .com would really have to be more careful offering a hotel of this standard at the prices on offer. Based on our experience we would be very slow to rely on booking.com to book a hotel in the future.
The hotel did not reflect the description on the web site. The picture of the Casino which is opposite looks like it is the entrance to the hotel. We only realised it was not when we arrived there. The web says that the hotel had recently been completely refurbished. The only part that appeared to be refubished was the dining room. The rooms were old fashioned and depressing with the wall paper torn in places. The lift was a joke and had difficulty reaching the floor we were on.
the staff were very helpfull and freindly
Staffs are very much responsive and helpful. I asked car arrangement from Nice airport and they sent a nice taxi for me at discounted rate.
Room and view lovely very clean
Never seemed to be anyone on duty in the bar
