Bad room, no pad lock In room room in construcction.we have to ask to move to another room. The other room wAs better but wiht out refrigerator.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They had the standard continental breakfast and the breakfast area was always clean. In my opinion it is a way better than average hotel for the budget conscious vacationer. Property was clean and tidy. Pool was nice but wasn't heated, the weather was too cold to swim anyways, in the 50's. A block and a half to the Ringling Museum and several restaurants within walking distance.
Room was clean, smelled good, bkf was very good and the location was great. Easy to find our way around, closs to the water and attractions too.
The room is clean, no smell. the enviroment is nice.Breakfast is very very simple. But the front desk guy is not friendly enough. That guy is racist. He doesn't like foreigners. He doesn't have patience. He thinks foreigners are idiots especially asian. We are happy with the location and the room.
We went to Sarasota just to check out the beaches there (we're in Tampa), and just basically needed a place to sleep. The room was clean. The bed was pretty comfortable. The swimming pool was decent, and not busy. The staff was friendly. And we could take our dog with us! If you aren't picky or concerned with luxury, and you're looking for a budget friendly place...I would recommmend it!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days and for the purposes of our trip the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean, the AC worked good and the pool area was relaxing and in good condition. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel because we spent most of our time at the nearby beaches (Lido and Siesta Key), St. Arman's and in downtown Sarasota - which is all very close to the hotel. At most, it's about a 12 minute drive to any of those spots. If it got a little too hot at the beach or the water in the Gulf was too warm, we would come back to the hotel and relax by the pool, which was a little cooler than the Gulf and a nice place to chill out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're going on your honeymoon, but if you're looking for a quck Florida getaway, this spot is perfect; it's close to the beaches, Sarasota International Airport and some fun nightlife spots (specifically the Gator Club in Downtown Sarasota). I would stay there again.
This hotel is close to the beaches and to downtown. This is very convenient. The rooms are okay but we're only sleeping here. It's not like we spent the whole vacation in the room. There's free wireless internet which is a plus. But overall its a good price if you're on a budget. The staff is very friendly also.
We were in town for graduation weekend. Hotel had easy access to where we needed to go and we felt safe in that area and it was close to the airport. Breakfast area could be tended a little better and fresh fruit instead of canned fruit would be good. All in all, for the little bit we spent there it was a good place to stay. I would stay there again.
IT WAS SO BAD THAT WE HAD FLEAS ON US IN THE ROOM. TRYED TO GET A SODA BUT IT DIDNT WORK. THE ROOM HAD A SMELL IN IT. THEY NEED IT GET WITH THE TIMES AND CLEAN UP THE ROOMS AND THE PLACE. THEY NEED SOME NEW HELP THAT IS NICE TO YOU AND NOT AN ASS. LIKE THE NIGHT MAN WAS .
It was nice to have a refrigerator, but right at the head of the bed where you can here it cycle on and off all night? The sheets and towels were poorly laundered, and one towel had a large hole in it. The water pressure in the shower was poor, which may be a good thing since the temperature fluctuated often and at least I didn't get scalded. The toilet flushed poorly, and often required a second flush. There was no way to get fresh air in the room-- either run the A/C or breath musty air. The ice machine on our floor did not work, and the desk clerk didn't disagree when I said that it looked like it had been out of service for a while (it was rusty!). There was only skim milk for the cereal in the breakfast room, which is fine if you like blue cereal. The selection of baked goods at breakfast was the worst I've seen.
This motel was OK, but not as nice as other Quality Inns I've been in. The outdoor heated pool was fine, but the spa was very underheated. It had wifi, micro/frig, and breakfast of cereal, bagels, and make-your-own waffles with coffee and juice. The location is great, very close to the Ringling Estate and Asolo Theatre.
Pool was filthy. Rooms in need of renovations. If you only plan to sleep there it worked but I would not stay there again.
We stayed for a week and we had to specifically ask that our sheets be changed on the fourth night. Our room was only vacuumed once and that was because we asked. Pool was in poor repair, filthy and NOT heated. Carpet in rooms made our feet black. Will not return.
The night manager was totally unprofessional and disruptive to the guests in the complex during the evening. He caused mayhem with several unrelated groups of people and caused disturbances for the entire complex. If you want a good night's sleep -- I recommend you check to see if they have changed night managers. I can not rate the entire hotel as anything but AWFUL, as it was a horrible evening! Will never return!!'
Room was old, dingy and dirty. Carpet needs cleaning and room needs painting. Exterminator needs to be fired as ants were everywhere. Deskman/manager was helpful and friendly, but homeless people in lobby not good.
conveniently close to most attractions. Nice privately located pool area
The room had just been renovated, Very tastefully done. room color was the same as we picked in our home and the countertops were a great choice. We didn't get the 'coupon rate' but was still a better rate than most of your competitors
Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and would stay again when visitng this area
Wonderful stay! My room was very clean and comfortable (apparently just renovated). The staff was very accomodating.
Room was clean and my stay was enjoyable. Conveniently located:3 minutes to airport and 10 minutes to Lido Beach. I will return.
Motel has seen better days. Would not stay here again.
