Manager!!!Manager came into our room and was screaming at us about our dog we just bought a couple days before coming to Sarasota,(she was a jack Russel terrior puppy 13 weeks old )He said we are not supposed to have dogs here and that he will charge us extra. It says on there web sight 'pet friendly'. He actually came into our room yelling at my wife and mother in law. We came down for a mini vacation, checked in Saturday night with plans of staying in the area for all of Sunday. He upset us so much we packed up and came home. Basically wasted time and money going to this hotel.
I love the price of the hotel but you get what you paid for.
The staff was rude, they don't have anyone in the office in the mornings time. I asked the lady at the front desk for her supervisor number and she would nit give it to me. The lady that works night shift was great tho.
The bed was comfortable. This wasn't the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in but I will say that the picture is very deceiving. It is old and in need of a major face lift. I'm not quite sure but I think that there were permanent residents living in a few of the rooms. I did not go and look at the pool but I don't believe that I could have or would have wanted to go swimming any way.
Staff was very nice and helpful. The maids were very polite and nice.
No.Owner was very nice, we came late and he had our keys there for us. Price was the best available at the time. Room was good, TV was nice, pool was nice. It's a nice hotel if you don't have a lot of money.
Service was poor, Breakfast was questionable, Leak in the roof at the front desk made you wonder about cleanliness, Pool was green and full of leaves, Shower was difficult to turn on - had to have my husband figure out how to make the hot water come on...We booked a room with a microwave and a fridge (and paid extra for it) and the hotel gave us a room without either. Moreover, they gave us a hard time when we asked for either a room with the amenities we paid for or the extra fee refunded, saying that such a room was not available when we booked. Then why advertise it? They would do nothing to help us - the manager wouldn't even come out to discuss it, instead the girl at the desk had to keep running between us. (I called Priceline and they were able to give us a 20% refund for the trouble, which covered the additional fees and a little more.) The room was musty - but I expected this - it wasn't a great room, but the beds looked clean. The bathtub was difficul...
I walked in to find cockroaches crawling on the wall, bugs in the bathtub and a dirty toilet seat. I was disgusted and left.
the hotel failed to acknowledge I had a reservation.
I could not stay there because they said I had no reservationNeither Super 8 nor Priceline will ever get my business again!
the toilet was dirty. The remote for T.V. was broke, and the manager was barely able to speak English, and the key-less entry broke on me while I was there and never got fixed.never felt safe the entire time I was there
Minutes from the beach, friendly staff and visitors, excellent continental breakfast included.
Bathroom had a broken fan and smelled quite strongly of mildew. The whole room could use a bit more ventilation. My roommate and I were looking for an affordable place to stay on the Siesta Key stop of our Florida road trip. Everything on the beach was too pricey for two people who weren't a couple, so we decided on the Super 8 in nearby Sarasota. We rolled into town quite late from our drive through the Everglades, but there was plenty of parking, and the staff had left me a note pointing me to the night manager for an easy check-in. Our two-bed, non-smoking room was very clean, if a little stuffy. The bathroom fan was broken, which probably contributed to the humid and somewhat mildewy atmosphere, so we left the door open for a while and turned on the air conditioner to freshen it up a bit. The linens and towels were clean, and there were plenty of outl...
