Arrived to find out that they had put my son and I in a smoking room! YUCK! the next morning I was able to be moved to a non-smoking room for the duration of our stay. What a huge difference in the cleanliness between rooms, although the one night in the smoking room left all of our clothing smelling as though we were smokers....the clothes were in suitcase....the smell was in everything. As a former smoker, I can't believe how stinky and gross I must have smelled. The Staff was great in accommodating the move and the rest of the stay was great!
I just needed a place to sleep for my son and I before a volleyball tournament. There was food and gas close by, and the Woodfield Mall close by if you need something to do. Access to get back up on the I-system could not get easier than from here. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only knock I would give it was the gap between the door and frame was too large and allowed a lot of light to spill into the room from the hall.
I was unsure about booking, because I usually go for more stars, but this hotel was excellent. Close to the mall and many, many restaurants.
Very comfortable bed, very clean room, only a little bit far from downtown.
Decent room for a cheap price. close enough to the mall and chicago.
If your looking for a nice hotel with nice aminities this is it. Just off the Highway (easy on easy-off) and lots to see and do within walking distance. Pets are ok we had a Golden Retriever who enjoyed the hotel and staff as well. Nice Nature Metro Park one block away and a Denny's next door to the hotel. I highly recommend to all business and recreational travellers.
Really a nice stay. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Good selection of restuarants to choose from in the area. Will stay again.
Staff was very friendly, A/C worked wonderfully even with the 110 degree heat index. Bathroom had all the essentials, but was very tiny. Outdoor pool was fairly clean, and quite small. Location is awesome, about a half hour from Navy Pier, and was directly between a Denny's and a Wendy's. Continental breakfast was above average. Bed was comfortable.
Staff very friendly. We needed to switch to a different room as the door hinges on the one were in seemed a bit bent? Anyway, they did it ASAP with no problem and were very nice and apologetic. We also like to sleep in a room with cooler air so we asked for two extra blankets, and again they did it ASAP with excellent customer service! Would like to see all hotels offer more healthy options on their continental breakfast but overall we would never hesitate staying at this hotel again!
Despite the fire alarm going off, which I'm feel sure was not La Quinta's fault, it was a nice stay. The room was clean, there were restaurants and a mall close at hand. I was a little curious as to why the staff was not doing more to assist people with exiting during the alarm but when you hear a fire alarm, you should move, right?! Fortunately the firemen were quick (and thorough) and we were back in our rooms fairly quickly. And it was a beautiful night to sit outside for awhile. Still, with all the excitement, it was a nice stay.
Needed a place to stay fairly close to the airport for a reasonable price as had an early morning flight the next day. Would definitely stay there again - free, safe parking, quiet, can get to the airport within 20 minutes on a weekday morning while avoiding the freeway. Unpretentious and clean. Check in and out was a cinch.
