First night was a mare, we had a room next to the lift and the generators where constantly humming loudly all night - no sleep. They did manage to change us for the remainder of the stay and the accomodation was basic but fine.
Rooms near the lift are very noisy. There is no bar or other fascilities to speak of outside of a room. take this into accoutn when booking. knowing this I took coffee and a kettle.
The hotel location is central. Staff very helpful.
No internet line, the wifi was not working for the duration of my stay. The place is a bit shabby and dark, eerie feeling. Very very quite alley/road around.
It was a jewel. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and is kept clean and tidy. It is quiet and the rooms are simple with new bathroom facilities. The location is excellent, in Santa Cruz, the Jewish quarter, and near to the Palace gardens. The staff are charming and helpful. It is excellent value for money at 45 euros.
good location and amiability staff.
The location, friendliness of the staff and the simplicity of the rooms were all top notch.
I wouldn't change a thing about this place.
Great location in less touristy part of the old Jewish ghetto. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very difficult to find and impossible to approach in a taxi. Tiny room and bathroom. So-so beds. Little room for clothes. O.K. for one night, buit would not recommend for longer stay.
Price, Staff and Cleanliness
The patio is very beautiful, the location is great. Apart from that, the price is very good, it's not a luxurious hotel but there is everything you need when visiting a city: a clean place to relax.
It was a little noisy, because the doors and walls appear to be quite thin.
Excellent location, clean rooms. The building is nicely decorated. They have a roof terrace, it must be very nice in summer time. If you come by car and you do not want to pay for parking, you can leave the car next to the railway station, it is 20-25 minutes walking from the hotel. There are two car parks, in the long term one you only have to pay a one-time amount of 0.60 EUR.
One of the night portiers did not speak english. Make sure to be able to tell him you room number in Spanish, then you won't have any problems :)
very happy with my choice, very central to all attractions ,helpful staff ,quiet,-cannot fault Patio de las Cruces.
advise to single travellers: if you are staying more than 2 nights it is advisable to upgrade to a double ,as singles are well equipped but small.extra cost 5 Euros per night.
