Built in 1918, this bed and breakfast is located in historic Seward, on the Resurrection Bay. A continental breakfast with freshly baked items is served every morning. Rooms at A Swan Nest Inn have lofts that are accessible by a ladder, as well as private bathrooms. The rooms have hand-crafted log furniture and are decorated with locally made original art. Two common areas are accessible to guests at A Swan Nest Inn. One room has a selection of games and a large TV with a DVD player. The other has a cozy wood stove and wonderful view of the bay. A Swan Nest Inn is less than a mile from the Alaska Sealife Center and Seward Waterfront Park. The Seward Boat Harbor is a mile away.
Serivce was good as was the food
Roos were very small and seemed overpriced
It is a great B+B. The woman who runs it was very helpful and friendly. We had a last minute additional guest as my son came on the fishing trip with us. And it was no problem at all. Close to downtown. Walking distance to shops and resturants.
The only thing i didn't like was that we had to leave on our charter at 5 am, so we missed breakfast. But she has cereal, milk and other breakfast foods so we could help ourselves. Great stay.
Character and charm
A little noise when everyone was in the common areas. Maybe some drapes would help, but they might block the beautiful view.
Wonderful staff and room was spotless.
I didn't realize how tiny the room would be. It was unseasonably hot and there was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan didn't have a high enough speed to help. We were hot all night, and the loft was really uncomfortable in the heat.
Nice,clean,friendly close to everything.
Had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Not good for old people.
TV not comfy. watched Educational teavel videos with kids so they could absorb experience. not enough comfortable seating
Location was good
Beds were uncomfortable, rooms very small, no place for luggage. Food service and quality poor.
The location was very convenient to the shops, Aquarium and restaurants in Seward. The view from the dining room was excellent of the mountains. The staff was very helpful. Everything was very comfortable.
The stairs were slightly challenging but we got used to them. The room was a little small but there was plenty of storage space under the bed.
The staff was extremely friendly; some of the best hospitality I've experienced. You can may double or more for a hotel and receive less perks and accommodations then yo would here! Perfect for extended vacation visits.
The Wi-fi was rather slow for when I needed to look certain things up and there is only a TV in a common room; but unless you are looking for just an overnight stay passing through those things are not needed, Enjoy the scenic town of Seward.
The staff was awesome! The hotel seemed aged but well taken care of for the age. Everything was clean and put together. The rooms were decorated in an Alaskan theme which was perfect.
Continental breakfast a little sparse but that's what a continental breakfast is so wasn't too big of a deal! Security also a little to low for my comfort.
This is a quaint little hotel in a quaint little town. It was very much like a bed and breakfast. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the service was friendly. Nick carried up our bags, really nice. Good breakfast. Walk to everything in Seward.
It is upstairs, and you must be quiet for the other guests. Not a party place
The setting is comfy rustic, the rooms are new and cabin-like. The breakfast room is airy and has a great view of the bay.The inn is 2 blocks from the Sea Life Center and free-shuttle. Tom, the owner and manager really made me feel welcome.
the Staff were awesome and so friendly. The Room was very clean. and Seward is very small town, so the location was pretty good. I could see the beautiful scene through the window of my room.
Hope blow driers are in the room. Little bit bothered when i had to pick it up. It is a old building, so soundproof system is not good :( but overall, it seemed like a very quite place when i was there.
