It was relatively cheap.
The reception we received from the mature French female receptionist was very unwelcoming. Virtually no eye contact was made,a smile seemed utterly impossible and our request to pay the two euro fee for use of the in room safe was met with complete disdain. As a result of this lady's performance , instead of booking a further two nights we moved to a different hotel. If this level of customer service continues the hotel will in my view fail. And it will deserve to.
It's quieter than some of the other hotels nearer the centre so this is good. There aere some lovely views over the port.
It was very hot in the rooms with the family room with balcony as the room gets lots of sun and the terrace heats up considerably. There are no shutters at the window to cool the room.
After asking for it (and for which we had alredy payd extra money)we got a room whit a stunning wiev (but it still would have been nice to be able to lock the balconydoor, and not to be charged extra money for the key to the safe!!!)
Perhaps if the staff was just a little bit friendly and serviceminded - we did not receive any smiles from the staff, especially not from the the french female owner!! - we would consider going back to this place.
The room had an amazingly large balcony facing the sea. The French manageress is very nice and let us have breakfast long after the official breakfast hours.
It is the furthest hotel along the seafront, so quite a long walk from the tram stop, but easy to get to by car. The room was very hot at night.
An excellent choice! The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere. It is situated close to the beach and my room had a verandah with a great view. The price was very reasonable and included a generous breakfast.
