Staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Centrally located with plenty of store available. Restaurant had good service and above adequate food, but did not purchase the bar breakfast, ordered from menu.
Odor in hallway and hallway carpet noticeably stained. Pillows were very soft, but I didn't ask for the alternatives that were available.
They were very accommodating and gave us two cots for one of the rooms which we greatly appreciated
Rooms were clean and modern. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I loved the hotel the room was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable.
It was very annoying that everytime someone left their room the doors slammed. We also had small kids next door that were very noisy. I called down stairs to let them know and it stopped for several hours but they started up again...
Our corner room!
Staff was friendly an professional room was clean an well furnished
Staff was accommodating
Internet on room would not connect. Staff gave me 800 number to call but I choose not to.
Great hotel, great rooms, great service. I was very happy here.
Only the location; I wish it were on the other side of the bypass and offered a shuttle.
Clean, location, refrigerator in room
NOISY! After listening for 2 hours to people running in the halls, moving furniture in the room above us, elevator 'ding', finally at 2 am I called the front desk. We were finally able to get some sleep. Shouldnt they have already known this
The staff was professional and friendly. Sarah at the front desk was excellent.
Clean and friendly staff. Alexander Dye was most helpful at check-in. There was a problem with the payment on your end and it made it look like my debit card was denied. It was most embarrassing. However Alex stayed the course and solved the issue at hand
The hotel manager, Jack Fortsen, automatic assumed I was not able to pay. Smugly said card declined and disappeared and left his staff to deal with the situation. Alexander who seemed to be relatively new handled this problem in a most professional manner
Staff was not very pleasant.
Wireless and fridge did not work. Bathroom shower has mold and needed dusting.
We stayed in this hotel for the past two days. While I expect to not have certain items because of the Christmas holiday...I never expected basic amenities to be one of them. There was a skeleton crew which meant only one person at the desk...that is all. There were no cleaning or maintenance folks...not even on call. The water was lukewarm at best and when we called the front desk about it we were told that nothing could be done until Monday when the rest of the work staff would be back. This was a Thursday night...Monday was still four days away. Even though every thing online raved about breakfast we were told on check in that there would be no breakfast...that they would try to get some sort of continental breakfast arranged. It was prepackaged danishes from WalMart and boxed orange juice like you put in a kid's lunch box. No plates, plastic ware or condiments...just napkins to put everything on. When we asked for more towels we were told they'd get some to us soon. 'Soon' turned out to be a bag of towels left at our door at 2:00 a.m. - after we had already showered and went to bed. Again I understand it was the Christmas holiday, but they should have either cut the cost of the stay, put some kind of warning on their website or provided the amenities promised in the advertising. The whole experience felt like 'bait and switch'. I spend an average of 30+ nights a year in Statesboro but I will not be spending any of them in this hotel in the future.
I have been returning to my old college town, Statesboro, GA., for many years to watch the GSU Eagles play and see some old friends. This season, I was surprised to see a brand new hotel had cropped up on the 301 bypass. The Holiday Inn Statesboro exceeded all of my expectations of accomodations in Statesboro. The building is grand and impressive, with an interior just as stunning to match. The front desk staff was happy, efficient, and very helpful. They really seemed to know what they were doing. Alot of people were in town for the game, and the hotel was really busy, but none of the employees seemed overwhelmed. Everything was so clean and brand new, and I was able to get free internet in the rooms so I could check my email and keep up with work when I got back to my room. I ate in the restaurant for breakfast, and was very impressed with the quality of the food. Overall my stay couldn't have been better. For the price of $*, I got everything I needed and more. It is the only good hotel in Statesboro as far as I'm concerned. I'll stay there from now on.
The Holiday Inn is a perfectly acceptable choice in Statesboro. It seems to be brand new - rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable except that the temperature was difficult to control. It was a cool October evening, and we wished there was simply a ''fan'' setting or a window that you could open. Air conditioning was too cold, heat or ''off'' was too warm and stuffy. Thermostat didn't seem to do much. However, except for the temperature issue, the hotel was nice and I would recommend it.
I was delightfully suprised at the new Holiday Inn in Statesboro. Not only is the hotel stunning from the outside but the guest rooms are clean, crisp and very tasteful. Dinner in the restaurant was a treat with unusual items like, ''shrimp and grits.'' There are meeting rooms, a business center, fitness center, pool and best of all, room service and a bar. I have been traveling to Statesboro for years and and tired of driving for food and and and a drink. The location near the mall area and close to Georgia Southern is great. You can see virtually every restaurant in Statesboro from the lobby door.
