the only issue we had was a metal portion of one of the bed frames was sticking out and was sharp. we ended up padding it with towels after all of us hit out legs on it at one point. I had a bruise for some time.
It was overall a good hotel. It was decently cheap and has a nice room. The only downside was that in the morning the hot water in the shower did not kick in for like the first 10 minutes.
The hotel provided all of the basic accommodations just fine: swimming pool, free hot breakfast, comfortable beds so if you are looking for something cheap for your money go for it but be aware. The hotel truly felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, located within what felt like a part industry/part neighborhood area in Superior. The hotel looked like it just didn't belong. It felt very removed from Duluth because there was a lot of construction throughout the two cities making traveling back and forth difficult. Next time I would pay a little extra money to stay somewhere in Duluth, not deal with the hassle of traveling to Superior (which to me, based on the hotel location) leaves little to be desired!
Stayed here over the Christmas Holiday and enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room with King bed and everything was very nice. the room was very clean and well kept up. The pool and whirpool were very nice...nothing fancy but nice to use and clean. The express breakfast was decent. Different choises (biscuits were a little hard) but everything was tasty. I will definately stay here again.
This place was 'OK'. It is hard to find a hotel in Duluth as it is a great, fun city to visit. We decided on the trip kind of 'last minute' so several places in Duluth were full. The staff were very friendly & helpful, & we could gather in the Bkfst. room in the eve. to play games & visit so that was helpful. It was not a new or newly renovated place & seemed to have an odor. Rooms were above average in spaciousness.
this was paradise found!! we moved to this hotel after a horrible night at another local motel.. it was July 4th weekend and busy. the staff at the front desk were personable, but i usually don't pay too much attention to that. the room was very clean, comfy. tried to go for the breakfast, but it was really crowded. we were really happy with the hotel and would stay again.
We greatly enjoyed the room, and the price! Although at first pass I thought the area seemed a little industrial, the hotel was very nice inside, and I felt secure about leaving the car in the lot. We enjoyed the room a great deal too - it was a big clean pair of rooms and was very relaxing. I appreciated the laundered sheets and blankets for bedding as opposed to some other hotels' sheets with a questionable coverlet. I would absolutely book a room at this hotel again. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning - it was a delight to have scrambled eggs and a hot cinnamon roll to get started in the AM (certainly more so than just the traditional cold breakfast).
Terrible experience. Upon arrival we were given a room for smokers and we had requested a non-smoking room 2 months in advance when we paid for the hotel reservation. This was resolved after we complained at the front desk. Other issues made this a horrible experience! BAD BAD BAD!
This was a nice, clean hotel, very inviting and close to Lake Superior. Loved that they gave you two pillows each one soft and one firm. Our only complint was the room we were in, Room 202, must have been above the hot tub motor because at times our entire room would vibrate. But that wasn't a problem one the pool area was closed for the night.
If you book a room through this hotel expect no customer service and no attention to detail. I booked a room and though I cancelled in a timely manner got no refund. I would not reccomend this hotel to any one. And if you book through Travel online do not expect them to be of any help.
