Where to start.... My room smelled like mold, it was so bad I got ill and had to leave. The hotel was dirty, loud. The weight room was filthy and only two machines worked. The pool area was horrible the pool op and dirty and the location was hurting. Like I said for the money it was the worst experience I've ever had.
Very comfortable overall; I have a hard time sleeping in general away from home but I slept like a baby here.
When I go to breakfast i like to sit, watch the news and baby a cup of coffee. Nothing like a very small cup to ruin that. I guess maybe 5-6 oz coffee/juice ups in breakfast area. If hard boiled eggs are peeled, i like that. I have never been to a breakfast with peel you own eggs. Maybe that's a new cost saver. Summed up, they saved about 35-50 cents to loose a customer in a highly competitive market. Sorry, but i smoke. Going outside is fine, walking across the parking lot is fine. But give me a bench! .
ran out of breakfast items
The hotel room was really clean, big and comfortable beds. Me and my son were exhausted after a fun day at Bush Gardens, it was nice to drive up the road check in and relax.
Nothing - couldn't wait to leave
This is a pet-friendly hotel. The night we stayed, it was like living in a dog kennel. Carpets, pillows and mattresses all stained - afraid to touch anything. Quality of breakfast food sub-standard (cheap off-brands). Some LaQuintas are decent - this one is not. Have stayed at this one several times and it keeps getting worse. Probably will not stay again.
The hotel was very clean, smelled nice, and the staff was cordial. The free breakfast had great variety. There were waffles, yogurt, bagels with multiple topping options, a selection of cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, juices, and hard boiled eggs. Housekeeping did a great job every day. I always came back to a turned down room. Having the mini fridge was helpful because it allowed me to save on restaurant expenses by bringing my own food. The air conditioning continuously worked well so I always came back to a cool room after being out in the Florida summer heat.
There was no shuttle service available, even to immediately close locations as USF across the street. There was a wet patch on the floor of my room between the far bed and the window that perpetuated all four nights but there was nothing on the ceiling so it must have been coming from under the floor.
