Staff was excellent: they allowed us to hang out after checkout, gave us a blanket to use in the hammock, and heated our leftovers so we could have them for lunch before we headed out. Absolutely fantastic service! Plus the place itself is beautiful, lots of beach chairs and hammocks to hang out in, bed is the most comfortable ever.
There were other people staying there, but we could easily just be 'on our own" which is what I prefer. We had bad weather while we were there, so we did not get to partake of everything the resort had to offer. I'd like to go back again when the weather is better.
Although we didn't "see" other people that much, the walls were fairly thin and we could hear them in the evening and at night. I always travel with a small noise maker, so that helped, but it could be a problem without that.
This hotel is a little hideway . Very comfortable and clean. When you drive down the road to the hotel, there are a lot of rundown houses but when you get to the hotel, you are pleasantly surprised. I would recommend it if you need a place to stop on your way down to Keywest. There is nothing to do in the area except snorkel or dive
The setting on the beach was beautiful. We appreciated the continental breakfast.
There was no Internet cafe, no phone in the room and no movie channel on the TV. The room was smaller than we expected. Address was stated as Key Largo, not Tavernier, which was a problem for our GPS unit
The hotel staff were very friendly. They provided a free kayak for me to explore the bay.
No phone in my room
