Pros:Location: The lodge is surrounded by acres of gorgeous landscape with a view of the Tulsa skyline, but yet is only a 20 minute drive from all attractions. Cleanliness: Our room was clean and was cleaned although we stayed only 2 nights. Facilities: Each lodge offers a common- game room with a pool table and other games. There is also a pool and in the summer months one can purchase other activities such as zip-lining tours.
Cons:Beds: Our mattress was old and dented causing us not so good nights. Staff: Since the heat/ AC in the rooms are not controlled by a thermostat in the room, guests have to call the front desk to have the temperature adjusted. The receptionist was helpful and quickly adjusted the temp. In the middle of the night, we woke up sweating - the staff had readjusted our rooms temp to 78 degrees. We phoned the receptionist again. This time the front desk clerk wasn't as nice as before and was telling us he would take care of it when he had time. We had to call the front desk a total of 5 times during our stay to have the temp. set to 68 degrees because they kept resetting it to 78. Not cool. Not a place for children: Although the lodge offers many facilities, the common room was often taken up by slightly intoxicated adults so our kid couldn't enjoy any of them. Also, our sleep and down time at the lodge was inconvenienced due to two guests having intercourse and moaning loudly. This may sound funny to some, but if you are with a child who asks you, why there are loud moaning noises coming through the air vent disrupting their sleep at night and their time at the lodge during the day, you, the parent, might find yourself in an uncomfortable situation. We called the reception about this also and were told that there is nothing they can do. When asked about an alternative room, I was advised that there was no other room forcing us to wear ear plugs while in our room. Breakfast: If you plan to go here, please be aware that breakfast is served from 8 am- 9:30 and there is no way to eat before that time. We had to eat elsewhere.
