My wife and I love the "back to nature" atmosphere around the hotel with room facing the rice paddy field. Very quiet, nice hide-out place - away from the city.
There is no television. We understand that the hotel management would like to create a relax, urban feeling theme for the hotel. That can be felt during the day. But at night it can be very quiet and where outdoor activities are lacking. Thus having TV set in the rooms can definitely help break the silence.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly, particularly those in the restaurant and they were all very helpful, with suggestions for trips and information on various tours.
The lack of access to the internet because the guest computer needed to be repaired.
The swimming pool was nice and during breakfast we had a wonderful view over the rice fields.
There were a lot of bugs near and in the hotel room (there was a big cockroach in our bath). The shuttle service to the centre of Ubud was poor. We waited too long and decided to take a taxi back to the hotel. Too much money compared to other hotels.
