The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.
Friendly, attentive staff. Clean rooms and facilities. Location is within walking distance of many places to eat and a short ride from the national mall. Would stay again.
Very cold lobby/restaurant/bar area. Thermostat in room kept malfunctioning. The maintenance guy brought us a space heater at one point. Requested shampoo at one point and three different staff people delivered some three separate times. Very friendly, but obviously some lack of communication. Staff was very apologetic about the thermostat and offered us a variety of comps.
Staff very helpfil. Close to DC metro and attraction
The room was made up in typical Hilton style with decent bedding/bathroom stuff.
This hotels has seen better days. One of the elevators was out of service (seemingly for a long time - a piece of tape covering the outside) the button to the elevator was cracked, and the whole thign was worryingly slowly and creaky. The room itself smelled musty - like it hadn't been aired out in years. Outside the window was the HVAC system which was *loud*. It was a crazy-horrible room. My best guess is that because Kayak booked the room through Priceline Hilton felt it was okay to give me the worst room they could find. I checked out immediately and went to another hotel nearby for the same price, but with a much nicer room and hotel in general.
This is a luxury hotel for an unbelievable price. The hotel is centrally located to about everything you want to see or do. What first caught our attention is the fact that you can look down the street and see the White House just a few short blocks away. Yes, there are a lot of hotels in Washington D.C., but if you are looking for a GREAT hotel at an unequaled price, this is it. This would be our first choice when returning to Washington DC.
There was nothing not to like about this hotel.
Staff amazing and SO CLOSE to Everything! Also, very easy to Metro and DCA.
At the front desk it was helpful to receive a list and a map of nearby restaurants with their phone numbers and opening/closing hours. When we arrived in the room the alarm/radio was not working and after a quick call someone arrived promptly to replace it. As someone who used to work as housekeeping in a hotel, the room cleanliness here was superb!. The concierge was very knowledgeable of the area and after giving us a map and marking our route, we had no problem getting around.
Loud guests could have been dealt with better by hotel staff
The location of the hotel and the feel of the place
the front desk service was very good, the room size was excellent
concierge service - poor! breakfast service at the restaurant - very bad, specially regarding the seatings - although the room was almost empty i was placed just beside the kitchen entrance
Rooms and overall service
In the rooms there is no fridge with snacks and beverages
