I arrived late (11pm) and the night staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The queen room I stayed in was small, but very comfortable. The television appeared new, and the bathroom seemed to have been recently remodeled. It looked very new and updated. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets clean. The shower was excellent, with good pressure. The inn was away from the busy roads, and it was very quiet.
The queen bed in the room was pressed up against a wall. This is necessary because of the size of the room, and the table present in the room. However, if I wasn't traveling alone, this could have been bothersome. There were a couple small flies in the room. I believe this happened because the outside window was left open (however, with a screen) after it was left clean for airflow. I'm glad the window was open, but the flies were a little irritating as I was trying to sleep.
Spent an hour on the Internet trying to find an overnight place that was rated Clean and within our budget in the Portland area. Ran across them and booked hesitantly, as the price/location seemed too good to be true. Walked into our room and it smelled dank and wet, then noticed the carpets had been cleaned that day but the windows not open. Desk was wonderful and apologetic, moved us next store. We considered clean carpets a good sign! Room was functional and comfortable, nothing fAncy but clean and a great night sleep. Super location by everything! Told front desk we'll be back often (tax-free shoppers!)
