I have stayed here before - the employees are very nice and personable. The hotel is nice and a very good price.
Room was a little dirty - the refrigerator was a little nasty and could have used a wipe down. The internet was a little slow.
Room was good and well maintained
Bath tub was not well maintained. You wan't feel like taking a shower
neat and clean, having a microwave and fridge is really nice
not even a trash can inside the room, or a plastic cup is poor
Totally exceeded expectations. Staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Room and lobby were immaculate. Room was HUGE. Kitchen was a full kitchen - I could have moved right in.Location was also great, convenient but tucked away from the highways
Could have had real milk or half n half versus that non dairy creamer which is just oil and sugar. But there is a Wawa a short walk away so ultimately not a problem.
Once again hotel employee took such good care of me and made me feel so welcomed and helped me in every which way
The room was clean.
On arrival, had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. Eventually a maintenance guy came and called someone. Room decor was sparse and dated. Breakfast was lame. On leaving, there was nobody at the desk again, left without recei
Location was a plus as it was close to all the markets and places of interests around Edison. Many different kinds of cuisines are available nearby.
The room had a very strong odor and the air conditioner wasn't working properly. Also, the restroom wasnt clean like hotel rooms usually are. The bed was uncomfortable and was making a lot of creaking noises. Couldnt have a good night's sleep.
rooms need kitchen and bathroom updates
Location might be good.
The carpet on the room was wet and smelly. The hotel staff gave excuses and did not provide any alternate. Not worth staying for the charge.
They have kitchen
The staff is soooo under educated and rude.No one will be in the front desk we have to go and call them then they will come from some corner . Morning I checked out at 9:30am no one in front desk so we left the hotel they charged 23$ late check out fee
The best hotel among all Extended Stay America hotels.
Staff is great. Extended Stay rooms fit my needs
Thr staff, the kitchen Is very nice. It's very comfortable
I wish the sleeping/ lounging area of the room was a bit bigger like the extra stay edison
location is everything
Could use another luggage cart. Usually, there are two on the first floor, but have found that when I need it the most neither are to be found.
Unable to switch rooms
Quiet. Bed was very comfy. I wanted to take the pillows home with me! I was impressed by the staff's professionalism.
The room was not clean. There was a poop smudge on the bathroom door. There was a bulb missing from the lamp. Greasy fingerprints on the doors. The bathtub had a visible dirt ring and streaks- it has been dirty for a while and used in that state.
AC was very loud
The location very accessable to public highways and stores
The two nights I stayed had to be moved to two rooms both having issues. Also if there is problem in the morning no Manager on staff to deal with the issues.
Employees was very nice and understanding
they should be a 3 star
There was a kithenette in the room
There was no staff in the hotel lobby after midnight. Had an emergency and needed to get maintenance to the room and couldn't locate the laundry attendant the overnight operator said would be in the building.
I never really used it, but they have a full kitchenette. Great option for those whole like to cook or save a bit of money and get food from a grocery store.
Hotel located out of the way and not near any restaurants unless you drive to it.
Full size fridge
Horrible bedding in all regards. Had to buy a pillow as soon as checked in.
Staff was friendly
Limited option for breakfast. Also the utensils were ild and broken. Dirty washrooms.
Nothing apart from it has kitchen, which is of no use to me.
From entrance, to broken walls, they advertise, Breakfast , never there. so many other points.
I like that I had fridge& microwave. Room was clean
I didn't notice an ice machine. I didn't have a coffee maker. I was expecting continental breakfast. I didn't like the location because it was hard to find.
Dirty bathroom with soap from previous guest in shower and stuck on sink.Pans from staff were not very clean.Leak from bathroom above
Very Tasty Oranges on the breakfast cart
The Bed was hard with old worn out pillows.Traffic noise is loudHeater in room is hard to find a comfortable settingNot many TV channelsThe shower temp is hard to keep adjusted. It changes anytime someone flushes or turns on water.
Liked the oranges on the 'breakfast' shelf.
The bedding was hard. The room was very loud. There is a strange sweaty odor in the lower hallway and the shower is impossible to keep adjusted for a comfortable shower. The pillows are worn out and the heat cannot be controlled well.
Run down. Smoke alarm falling off wall. Shower curtain broken. No toilet paper. Room smelled like cigarettes. Locked out of hotel because access terminal broke. Had to call for help and waited 15 minutes in rain to get in.
Easy access from the highway. Wawa across the street for grab and go meals.
The second night we got in there was trash strewn in front of our door including 15+ dirty diapers. Left the room about six hours later and it was still there. Front desk said they were aware of it. Came back hours later and there was still q tips etc
Took me 15 mins to get a bottle of shampoo
Location right off of 95, convenient parking
The breakfast is cheap tasting.
The staff and everything about the place No ice maker
That's a good area
The front desk they dont stay until mid night
From the moment I walked in the woman who began to check me in was rude!! Never smiled or said hello when I greeted her. Just asked for my id and shifted me to another employee. I have never been treated this way at this hotel. Usually all are pleasant
Hotel is placed at a prime location with a easiest access to train stations to NY and all the major roads in New Jersey!
I was given a smoking room that was stinking from day 1. The hotel staff do not clean the room until the guest checks out and its difficult to stay beyond day 3. Thankful that I did not get cancer.
Was full people that gave the appearance of drug addicts. It was very loud in the hallway
Quick nap looked for good shower after 18 hr work day
Didn't get good shower. No hot water and manager claims I was only one with that issue. I know the difference between cold and hot water.
The room was dirty. The bathroom had cigarette remains all over the toilet seat. Coffee all over the counter , the night we got there. The breakfast bar had only oranges and oatmeal. I won't stay here again .
Room was clean
Location was the best part and it was quiet.
The staff was away from the desk most of the time. Also the breakfast was pitiful. No juice of any sort.
price was considerable, good rate in a friday night.
the bed was too small. staff; the attendent in the morning wasn't awake in the plenty breakfast time, 6:00am. This person was mad when i asked him if i could check out and the main door was locked it seems tht he wanted keep in sleep.
Everything hotel is not up to standard. Tub was peeling tub was stained shower walls were dirty
The location was very convenient. Hotel was understaffed, but the front desk attendant was very helpful.
The hotel lacked bare necessities, the heat did not work in the 1st room I stayed in, also the shower did not heat well. The 2nd room we moved too had a fire alarm yanked from the wall, there were stains on carpet and the lamp shades, window was damaged.
I booked a non-smoking room for my brother, Adrian Cargill, and he was assigned a room that someone had obviously smoked in before. I explained to the front desk clerk that his wife was recovering from throat cancer, with no relief.
The employees are not helpful. Also, the breakfast is advertised unti 9.30am or 10am...it actually finished daily when the food ran out..about 8am. The food was not replenished daily.
i paid for a kind size bed and suite. i got a queen bed. the bed was very old and uncomfortable. there was no shampoo in the bathroom. the elevators were dirty. one of the 2 desk operators was rude and very unhelpful. i extended my check out to noon but there still was a maid in the room closing the room up at 11 am when i came back to my room just 30 minutes after i asked for an extension. i am very upset that i was not informed that i would not be getting the king size bed that i requested. i ran a marathon on sunday the 6th of may and i needed a good night sleep. i did not get that at this very sub par hotel. i am extremely disappointed that i PAID FOR A KING SIZE BED and got only a queen that was also an old mattress.if this is a representation of homestead suites then i will never stay at homestead suites again and i will dis sway others from staying there too.
No staff in the Hotel to Check me in. Took more than 1 Hr for staff to come to front desk and checkin. Had to pay for the internet.
After a long drive, all you want to do is take the room key and stretch your legs and relax in the room. Unfortunately, that did'nt happen for us. We had to spend a couple of hours at the reception trying to sort a mix-up. We were two families, and had booked two similar rooms with double queen beds, had specified that we wanted them adjacent to each other. But we ended up getting one room with a single king bed, and the other with two queen beds, that too, on two different floors, and the rooms were very far away from each other. A single day stay would've been still okay, but it was a 3 day stay there, and became quite inconvenient travelling back and forth between the rooms. So overall, we did'nt receive much help in the matter, inspite of having booked with all specifications well in advance.
I do not know where to start but considering the fact that the hotel address 1 Hoover Way is not the actual address. In addition to driving 6 hours, I spent another hour trying to locate this place. I contacted the hotel via phone twice and never did they mentioned that the above address does not exist or work in the GPS. The actual address is 500 Hoover Way. Finally, I arrive and pointed out to the front desk clerk that why would it list an incorrect address on the internet and my confirmation paper I printed out. No luck there, he had a nonchalant attitude about the whole thing). Secondly, I asked to view the room prior to signing anything. The 1st room was a disappointment so I asked to moved to another room. However, prior to viewing the second room, I signed the papers. BIG MISTAKE, it was worst than the 1st. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub had discoloration around it and when taking a shower the water remained in the tub ( 2 -3 inches). Finally, it was noisy because the booking site and the front desk clerk failed to mention that this is like an extended stay hotel were people can stay for weeks or months. If you're looking to take up resident than this is the place for you but for a 2 - 3 night stay I would not recommend it.
We stay here everytime we visit Staten Island. Has complete kitchen and rooms are bright and clean. Internet does cost $4.99 but its for the entire stay and works all the time unlike other hotels.
