It was quiet, and clean.
Part of the hotel was used for housing and the residents used part of the parking lot for grilling and other activities. Very strange coming in late at night and seeing a bunch of adults parting around a fire in a parking lot.
Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good for a continental.
Slight mix-up at check-in, but nothing serious.
Cracked window in the room, drafty, reserved ahead of time for a funeral , and was left with a handicapped only bathroom. Won't stay here again. Rude front desk clerk.
Clean. Nice bathrm. Adequate breakfast.
One light switch sent sparks which were reported and noted.
Location was great
Dirty, poor bed, needed extra pillows and couldn't get any
Yes - they upped the price.
near highway, late check-in, easy
the whole town smells (there's a meat-packing plant nearby)
Location. Right off expressway
The whole motel smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Air conditioner did not work well. Breakfast food was poor. Microwave did not work
Ebvening attendant was upset because I requested an non-smoking room and went outside to smoke and she was worried that the 'Manager' would be angry with her if the room smelled like smoke. As I said, I was OUTSIDE smoking.
It was the dirtiest motel I ever stayed at in my life...
It had beds
The owner was a complete jerk in all things.
Small fridge and microwave are nice to have in a hotel room. Good location!
Hair dryer looks pretty old. Bed foundation made from unfinished woods. Saw only one person staff there when I was checking out.
The front desk area was messy and noone was available. We tried to check in early and were told they had no clean rooms so had to come back later just to drop suitcases off. Staff were not friendly and BREAKFAST WAS SPARCE no fruit
Our room was adequate. Very basic, small, but clean. It was not expense, so I judged it to be a good value.
We had reserved the room some weeks in advance, but when checking in I asked to inspect our room. I was given a ''your rooms not ready and if you don't want it say so cause I have plenty of travelers who want it'' I explained that I just wanted to ck it to see if the bed would be comfortible, if the room was clean, odor free , etc. I was able to ck. other rooms and found they were very clean, comfortable and recently updated. I checked in and the front desk attitude improved at that point. However, the security was lax in that the rear entrance door was propped open, and there was rarily anyone at the desk. The continel breakfast brought a waffle maker that didn't work, plain donuts that were ice cold, coffee the color of weak tea, and a loaf of a bread was brought out to replace the lack of waffles. Again, no one at the desk to talk to. On the positive side-- very clean rooms and common areas, updated decorating, we had a brand new (still had the packing paper on and wasn't plugged in yet) mini fridge and microwave.
Worst hotel experience of my life. From the open windows in the room, to the smell, to the people breaking into the neighboring room's window while we were out walking the dog, everything about this place was bad. So bad in fact that we left early and went to another Super 8 in Iowa. Beware!
