Today we are announcing the promotion of Melissa Reiter to Chief Financial Officer. Melissa, who joined KAYAK in 2009, most recently served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations managing the company’s global finance and accounting teams. She also maintains relationships with the investment and analyst communities.
Melissa has two decades of experience in corporate finance, of which seven years have been in the travel industry. Having held a post on the executive leadership team at KAYAK since joining the company three years ago, Melissa brings a deep understanding of our business and the travel industry to her new role. Before joining the company, Melissa served as Vice President of Finance at Potbelly and prior to that Controller at Orbitz Worldwide. She began her career with over ten years at Arthur Andersen advising many high growth public and private companies. Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the Miami University.
Melissa succeeds Bill Smith, who served as CFO at KAYAK since June 2011. We are grateful to Bill for his time and contributions to the company and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
