Fort Worth gets a few tornadoes a year. If, while you're in Fort Worth, you hear local reports warning of an imminent tornado, do not drive. If you are driving, and you find yourself caught in a tornado, pull over to the side of the road, in a ditch or area that's lower than the road if possible. Hunker down in the front seat, and cover your head with your arms or with a blanket or jacket if available. Also, Fort Worth experiences extreme heat in the summer, so don't leave any food or electronics in your rental. Food will spoil and electronics may overheat to the point that they suffer damage.
Most of the car rental agencies that you will find both at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and the Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) will have SUVs available in their fleet of vehicles. Some agencies you can find at both airports that have SUVs available include Avis, Budget, Dollar, Easirent, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hertz, and Thrifty. At DFW, you can board a courtesy shuttle outside arrivals that will take you to the rental car facility. At DAL, you will find the rental car agencies just before you reach baggage claim.
In Fort Worth and throughout Texas, you need to be at least 21 years old to rent a Fort Worth SUV. Many car rental agencies will charge you an extra daily fee if you are younger than 25 years old. If you are under 25 and interested in Fort Worth SUV rentals, it is well worth your while to research different Fort Worth agencies to compare the amount of the fee that you will be charged due to your age.
KAYAK compares SUV rental prices from all major car rental companies such as Thrifty, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, Payless and more to find you the best deal.

I never got a car, at all. I had booked more than 24 hours out, but I received a call 2hrs before pickup saying they had zero cars. I then tried to book another car, got confirmation, sat in the office for over 30 minutes, only to be told there was nothing in the system for me at all - despite a confirmation.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
The gentleman that helped me was very nice. It was really hot that day & I had to wait outside for close to 45 mins while he helped other customers before I got my vehicle. He was always communicating with me & was very professional & friendly.Cons:
The car was very dirty & smelled like cigarette smoke. There was previous damage to the vehicle (scrapes & crack in the windshield-which was all recorded before I took possession of the vehicle). And I was about an hour into my journey, figuring out off the gadgets when I came across the tire gage. All 4 tires where WAY off (47, 45, 31 & 33) YIKES! I pulled over & adjusted the tire pressure. That should have been taken care of prior to me getting in the vehicle.7.6 Good
