We haven't been informed that Italy requests international driving licence. We waited 2.5 hours in the line to take the car and at the end the officer of EuropCar told us that you cannot rent a car here. Very disappointed.

Very tough to follow directions within Florence (pick up - drop off), realizing it is a challenging city to begin with. Better directions would help, though the staff at the office were great (language barrier). The car was amazing, zero complaints (having never driven this before).

I rented a Mercedes because comfort was the number one priority. It wasn’t disclosed anywhere that I would need two different types of credit cards, so Europcar downgraded my car to some Italian car comparable to an Hyundai and did not adjust the price.

When I went to pick up the car from the Budget/Dammam airport office.. they did not have a reservation in my name.. the employee tried to find the reservation number that was sent by your side in the email, but he failed.. there was no reservation in my name. So I had to make a new reservation with them even though you confirmed my reservation. So please refund any fees or money if you deduct. Thanks

My experience with ALAMO at Amsterdam City Center was extremely unsatisfactory. The unprofessional conduct of an employee named Paul, who refused to use an alternate card for payment, charged my credit card without consent, and declined to provide his last name, left me deeply dissatisfied. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing encounter.

Some difficulty with the payment credit card system like I have debit card and they refused revolut. Also my old licence seems here they need a new one. But we find the way. The car are well prepare super clean an a zone maintenance.

Twice we had trouble getting into the car and starting the engine. we had to use the key and remove a small cover on the handle. we also removed and re-installed the battery in the key fob. When it happened the second time, we bought a new battery ,installed it in the key fob and had no further trouble. It was a nuisance, both times we were out in the country AND we spent 8,95 euro .I still rated everything "good" as we were satisfied with everything else. I don't imagine that a FULL refund is justified? Martin Van Eerd

Important things were not communicated upfront. 1. Passport is needed 2. Credit card pin code is needed. The first issue was solved, by chance i had a photo of the passport. the 2nd issue was a surprise, I knew I had to bring my credit card and I did, after already paying online, however, they needed me to use my pin code and not just scan my card. I do not have the pin code and they had no fallback option so I was not able to get a car and had to make new plans. Clear communication upfront would help either getting ready for the rental process or make other plans IN TIME. I was unhappy to see no flexibility (I offered instead of a deposit, to actually pay that amount - even that wasn't an option)

The first vehicle I received from Sixt Amsterdam branch had a gear problem.When I wanted to deliver the vehicle to the branch, they claimed that there was no problem and even if they took delivery of the vehicle, my money would be burned and they would not be able to give me a new vehicle.As a result of my intense insistence, staff spoke with the branch manager and exchanged the vehicle. When I received the vehicle, I took its photos and videos of the damaged areas.After returning the vehicle, the vehicle was not re-checked with me and the damages on the day I received the vehicle were tried to be reflected to me within 1 hour.Back to the branch; When I wanted to show the damage photos I took on the day I received the vehicle, the vehicle had already been given to another customer. Investigations are currently ongoing. I hope that the fault of the branch staff will not be reflected on me.A world-class company like Sixt should work with staff who can communicate properly with their customers.I hope that the penalty for this mistake will not be reflected on me and the deposit taken from my card will be fully refunded to my account.

Return the car is chaotic and can be difficult finding parking during busier times of the day. Other than that, Sixt staff is very friendly and try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. 8/10.

It was excellent particularly during check in with the kind lady there helping us with carts for our baggage and showing the way to terminal etc. she really went above and beyond. Thank you Ma'am! The car was good and clean and overall experience was excellent. The person during checkout was helpful as well, explaining the deductible etc. clearly and quickly finished the process with minimal hassle. Only suggestion is the city center Avis opening till 8 would have been helpful for picking up the car. As it is we had to really hurry to hit the 6pm.

Pros:

The staff were very friendly and the drop off was was also good

Cons:

The car was rubbish - I plugged my phone into the USB to use google maps and it continually crashed and kept reverting back to the existing nav system in the car. Then the USB went dead completely. The drivers window did not close properly and at speed made a noise. When closed it would open again and the same process repeat. I had requested a Golf but got instead a Ford focus...not ideal for German roads...I won't accept this again - I should have been more stern...

Hi, I’m somewhat fed up with searching prices via the website and realising time and time again that the headline price has no relevance to the final price charged. Extra charges such as additional drivers, airport pick up surcharges were never mentioned either on the website or at the europcar desk . Additional charges appeared on my credit card several days after dropping the car that were not verbalised or highlighted prior to rental - seems somewhat unfair! Surely this should be more regulated!? The car itself was fine , although didn’t appreciate multiple attempts by the desk sales to upgrade the vehicle at the pick up point , feels like a lot of effort goes into up selling.

Car was very comfortable, clean , more than enough power, pick up was sooo easy, drop off a little disappointing as there were no persons on the counter and we really wanted to know about the deposit return. In the end we had to drop the key and run for our boarding, but was sorted very easy next day by phone call.
