I liked the car and the location was very convenient.

Cons:

Very slow pick up and drop off process. Not enough employees or they were just too busy. Lines of people inside and out the door waiting for help. No clear process to pick up or who is next. It was just very unorganized.

My initial rental was not ready on time and I was not given a discount or compensated then my rental was delayed until the next day and I was charged the same amount and the car was had to be downgraded to a five passenger suv instead of a seven. It was devastating because it was my birthday weekend and it messed up my plans.

They gave us a car and was hurried to leave, without checking to make everything right. We had some issues after we got to another city. They told us we can use our coupon when we drop off, but when we dropped off another people said we can't. They said they will figure out for us, but it's been a week our account is still locked and the one promised he will figure out the next day is out. They don't seem to be helping at all

Location was short on vehicles. Employees were working hard to keep wait to a minimum, even giving free upgrades if category reserved wasn't available. Shuttle bus driver was exceptional also - loading all bags so customers could get to the counter quickly and safely. SUV was in great shape with fewer miles than I've seen in rental cars since the pandemic. Excellent overall experience!

Alamo, National and Enterprise (all owned by the same parent company) are the farthest walk from the terminal in Athens. Reserved a sedan so that we would have a trunk for our luggage. Tried to offer me a Jeep which doesn't have a trunk and wouldn't work as my wife had broken her ankle 2 days before and couldn't have gotten up into it. Car had multiple areas of scrapes and dents, which isn't unusual for Greece but the interior was fine and it ran well. Was not happy that they gave me a car with a half tank of gas which makes it difficult to know how much to add to get it back to a half tank when you're not used to filling it and you can't do self-serve in Greece. Staff was fine to deal with though took a long time with the one customer in front of me in line.

Acceptable. We didnt inspect the vehicle together and sign it off before leaving from pick up which was a bit of a worry. Car interior a little worn/tired but clean. No sixt branded car hire stickers/signage? I selected wrong airport for pick up. Additional charge was a bit high in my opinion but understandable

After 30 minutes of waiting in line they refused to rent me a car because I could not prove that I live in Canada - the country where I received my drivers license. I have no Idea why I have to prove that, Ideally valid documents should be enough, but the result is disappointing: I did not get a car, the company did not receive my money.

None of their fees were listed correctly. It was a complete bait and switch. They advertised a low price, but when you got there, the cost was easily triple or quadruple what they quoted. Do not fall for scammers like this near the airport just go past the airport where people do honest business.

I was supposed to get a compact SUV, they gave me a Nissan Rogue that is considered a Compact SUV. They charged $50 for it and have been refusing to reverse this charge due to the confusion about its applicability. The gas level at pickup was almost full, 15/16th perhaps. They recorded it as Full. When I returned the car back, it was FULL. I have asked them to refund the additional gas charge and I'm awaiting their confirmation.

Kayak sold me car insurance for my trip. I told the rep that I bought it, he said he could see the policy attached to the reservation. When I got the bill, $40 was added to the trip fees. When I called Advantage, they said, "we don't accept third party insurance". I will never purchase thru kayak or advantage again.

Quoted $169.00. Showed up and they tried to rip me off for gas, tolls and especially insurance. After going through many hoops to show that I have adequate insurance coverage, I was asked to produce a declaration page. After spending 10 minutes on the phone with my insurance company, the agent just said “Do you have a car loan? Then you’re fine. You have adequate coverage” - It was a very poor experience. There should never be a quoted price and final price that are nearly double. I’ll never rent from them or recommend them.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

Price was low for a reason. Service was terrible. After long check in process I wait for my car only to see it has no gas. And it's scratched and dented all over. And then after I check out I realize they added some fees that were not clearly told to me... I called and they said it was a prepaid fuel tax of 20% which was never told to me. Complete nonsense.

Shuttle from SD airport to main car park garage. Then NU picks up but not until after 8am. We arrived 7:30 and waited in cold on outside bench. Upon off site arrival one clerk to handle 3-4 customer groups. He was courteous but none of our cars were prepped for drive off. We waited 40+ minutes to get out, which was a lesser model than advertised. (Nissan Sentra vs Altima)

I didn’t like a thing. They were in an inconvenient location. They took an hour to check me in and then the car wasn’t ready so waited another half hour just to be told the car hatch was broken. Then they proceeded to give me a filthy car with the most foul smell inside. Inside was disgusting with stains and ripped carpet. So very disappointed and would NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone!!!

I rented the car via kayak with NU car, but they walked me over to dollar, then when I dropped it off at nu car at 3am in the morning, they said they couldn’t process me because I rented the car from dollar, still have yet to receive an email receipt, not happy at all about the overall experience.

I would rent from Fox again but I’d be way more likely to rent from Fox if there was a way to use their car for toll roads on only the days when you’re planning to use it on those roads instead of paying for toll usage for the entire duration of the trip. Having to pay for the entire duration even though I only wanted to use tolls for one day meant that the cost was much higher and the value not really that great.

Title: Disappointing Experience at Ace Wilkinson Blvd If you’re considering renting from here, be aware of the following issues: Limited Mileage: When booking online with the unlimited mileage option, there are restrictions on which states you can drive to. At this location, unlimited miles are limited to only the Carolinas and Virginia. If you plan to travel to Georgia or other states, additional fees apply. I’m aware that other rental agencies (not all) also do this but still… don’t call it unlimited if it’s not unlimited. Hidden Fees: Upon pickup, I also encountered several unexpected charges. For example, despite not using airport services, an airport concierge fee was added to the charges. When questioned, the local office couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation for this particular fee, so I did not bother to follow-up with questions for several of the other fees that also seemed like padding, these fees increased my total bill to more than 1/3 of the original booking price. Defective Vehicle: This was the most concerning issue. What happened? I booked a full-size sedan, while doing the walk around inspection, I noticed that one of the front bumper clips was missing, causing the end section of the bumper to hang loose enough that the wind could cause further damage while driving. When I brought this to the rep's attention, he acted like this was not a cause for concern. I had to insist that this was unacceptable and that I could not take responsibility for a defective vehicle. He then tried to replace the vehicle with a smaller vehicle type. The issue here is that he wanted to charge me the same rate for a smaller car and insisted that this was the only vehicle he had available. I felt that it was unfair to charge at the same rate, so I ended up cancelling and had to make other plans. So no, I would not recommend.

The pick up method in Florence is horrible, I also asked the drop off to be in Rome and I didn’t notice they put Genoa so I had to pay an extra $100 in fee for when I dropped it off to the location I had originally asked for.

They did not have the SUV I reserved, and insisted I take a pick up truck or a mid-sized sedan! THey took no responsiblity for this error... Also, the deposit for self CDW insurance (over US20K in deposit) was just too unreasonable. Staff not friendly.

I was told I HAVE to get the premium insurance otherwise my deposit would be $26,000!!The receptionist kept on showing us in Spanish, I asked to have it shown in English, she did. And I was able to select no insurance, but it needed managers passcode. So I clicked back, and selected the lowest coverage and it was allowing me to choose how much deposit, $5000! At the return, they charged me $0.01 to release my deposit, which still has not been release. The car itself was comfortable, the people on the other hand, I feel they are shady.
