Unless otherwise indicated, we considered searches conducted on the US KAYAK site between 06/01/2020 and 09/22/2020 for travel from the US occurring for travel dates 11/22/2020 – 01/04/2021.

Top trending destinations

Flight destinations with the greatest year over year increase in search share based on a list of countries that are currently open to US leisure travelers were considered.
Median Airfare Histogram: Median airfare by month for destination based on above trending travel dates & overall search dates.
Median Hotel Rate Histogram: Median hotel rate by month for destination based on above trending travel dates & overall search dates.
Median Rental Car Rate Histogram: Median rental car rate by month for destination based on above trending travel dates & overall search dates.

Top digital nomad destinations

Travel dates used were between 11/01/2020 and 01/04/2021 and search dates used were between 06/01/2020 and 10/14/2020.
Destinations for alternative accommodations with the greatest year over year increase in search share with stay duration of 7+ days were considered.
