You’re about to book a flight. You feel pretty good about it. And then, almost instinctively, you search for it again.
Will the price drop? Is there a better departure time? Can you shave 40 minutes off that layover? Maybe fly into a different airport entirely?
You’re not dramatic. You’re human.
In fact, in a recent YouGov survey, 66% of travelers said booking travel stresses them out.* Not the trip itself. Not the packing. The actual decision-making.
That moment of “is this the right choice?” can be louder than it should be. And that’s exactly why we launched our new campaign and tagline: Got that right.
Because booking travel shouldn’t feel like a gamble.
A lot of that stress comes from sheer overload. One in two Americans say they’ve felt overwhelmed by travel advice online.* There are reels, reviews, ranking lists and hot takes everywhere you look. Somewhere along the way, planning a trip started to feel less exciting and more like research for a thesis.
Then there’s the screen debate. In the same survey, 91% of Americans who book travel on their phones say they’ve second-guessed their choice.* Small screen. Big trip. Bigger doubt.
We leaned into that insight in our “Big trip. Small screen.” spot, playfully calling out the idea that the bigger the purchase, the bigger the screen. And as millennials ourselves, we get it. For years, big ticket items meant that’s a job for a laptop. But confidence doesn’t actually come from screen size. It comes from having the right information, presented clearly.
With the KAYAK app, you can compare options side by side, track prices, filter down to exactly what matters to you. Everything’s in one place, so you don’t have to bounce between tabs wondering what you missed.
Our second spot, “Momfluencer,” tackles a different but equally familiar spiral: advice overload. We’ve all fallen into the scroll. One tip turns into 20. A simple weekend getaway suddenly requires a color-coded packing system and three backup restaurant reservations.
We’re not here to add to the noise. We’re here to cut through it. KAYAK’s tools and filters are built to help you focus on what actually matters to you, not what the algorithm thinks should matter.
“Got that right” is really about that feeling after you book. When the confirmation email lands and you don’t feel the need to double-check. When you trust that you saw your options, weighed them and made a smart call. You made a decision – and that decision felt great.
That’s confidence.
And when you have that, everything about the trip feels better.
Yeah. You got that right.
