It’s official. Booking Holdings announced that it has acquired HotelsCombined and that KAYAK will assume leadership of the Sydney-based hotel search engine.

HotelsCombined is known for being one of the best ways to find a hotel room in the Asia Pacific region — and for their clever ads featuring Max the bear (that’s short for “maximization” aka saving you both time and money. Plus, as a bear, he’s the international symbol for a good night’s sleep). We’re excited to add them to our portfolio of travel brands, which, in case you’re keeping track, is now up to seven: KAYAK, SWOODOO, checkfelix, momondo, Cheapflights, Mundi and, of course, HotelsCombined.
