Today we announced the launch of exclusive, limited-time hotel deals. The service uses our search data to identify which hotels KAYAK consumers most desire, and then sources special deals from those hotels at prices reduced by as much as 50%.

Paul English, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder said, “People already know they can come to kayak.com to compare prices from hundreds of travel sites.  Now we’re using search data to negotiate unique hotel deals that are only available to KAYAK members.”

Our limited-time events will commence every Thursday and will be available for one week or until the hotel offer is completely sold out. The first event announced today features deep discounts at select properties including the Mondrian in Los Angeles, the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino in St. Maarten, the Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, CA, and the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

“By using insights from travel search data, our private sale service features great deals at luxurious hotels where we know many people want to stay, not just at the hotels where supermodels stay,” said Brian Harniman, General Manager of the company’s deals business. “Our private sales provide another channel for our supplier partners to reach an exclusive audience.”

We also plan to expand private sale events to vacation packages and airline deals, and to integrate the service with the company’s popular iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry applications
