  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Austin flight deals.
  • Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located just five miles south of downtown Austin, offering rapid access to the music capital of Texas. Austin International is one of the largest airports in Texas and serves the Greater Austin Area and its peripheral suburbs.
  • If someone is picking you up when you land in Austin, they can wait at the cell phone lot and retail center located just a short drive from the terminal. They should not drive to the terminal building until you have called to let them know you are outside and ready to be picked up.
  • If you are picking up a rental vehicle when you arrive at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), you will need to make your way to the rental car facility in the parking garage. Exit Barbara Jordan’s Terminal baggage claim, cross the street to the parking garage and take the elevator to Level 3.
  • If you are traveling to Austin with young kids, there are plenty of things to do at the airport to occupy them while you plan your next move. Take them to one of the live music or art exhibits located throughout the terminal.
  • If you are traveling to Austin with pets, it is important to note that there is only one pet relief area after security at Gate 9. To find the other pet relief areas, you will need to exit the airport and find them outside on both ends of the lower level of the parking garage.
  • Though an hour away by car, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is, at times, a good alternative to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Of course, it depends on your final destination, but if you are traveling the suburbs just outside of Austin, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is certainly worth considering.
  • To relax and chill out for a moment before heading out of the airport, you can make use of one of the many lounges available, such as the United Club, the Delta Sky Club, the spa, or even one of the outdoor terraces where you can rest.
  • Many passengers on flights to Austin are heading there for Austin’s famed South by Southwest Festival. Passengers, however, don’t need to wait until they hit the festival to hear the music. In Austin International Airport, visitors will find live music from Monday to Friday in a variety of venues throughout the airport.
  • There’s more to Austin than just music. The city and its airport are both artistic hubs for Texas and the greater Southwest. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s award-winning art program does this reputation justice and features both permanent and rotating exhibitions. Visitors can find installations, paintings, and sculptures both pre- and post-security.
  • Looking for a bit of luxury after your flight to Austin? Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark is ready to pick you up with a complimentary shuttle service from Austin International. Great flight. No problems. Everett Airport was so easy to get into and out of. Great alternative to SeaTac. Alaska was excellent!

It was warm on the plane. Perhaps the people who were coughing quite often should be encouraged to wear a mask?! It was a long 4 hours.

There was a medical emergency on board the crew handled it very professionally and the ambulance crew as well. I am very impressed. Thank you Clyde Barron 31 D

Pilot warned us it was going to be bumpy, which I usually like when it is, but it wasn't, so I spent most of the flight unnecessarily wondering when it was going to get rough. Just can't win sometimes. Ha!

Checking in was very easy. Boarding and the flights went smoothly.

Flight was changed twice. Original flight was scheduled at 5:30pm. Weeks before flight, flight was changed to 7:00pm. On the date of flight, flight was delayed and departed at 9:00pm. This caused many problems and significantly affected our schedule at our destination.

Flight was on time. Transfer was in same terminal. Flight attendants were very accommodating. .

I enjoyed the leg room at my seat, but I was in an exit row.

Why do you ask about food when only a snack is served? Actual food needs to be bought.

There was an older male crew member that was very rude to me when doing the last checks before pulling back from the terminal. There is a polite way to tell someone to put their bag under the seat. It was Mother’s Day and my mom has recently passed so it was a tough morning for me in general. There was no need to make for the snide remark “ I don’t know how many times we have said this already” as you walked away. I had held it together all morning and this interaction brought me to tears. love Alaska Airlines and this is the first time I’ve had a negative experience.

They were an hour late and they didn’t have my wheelchair for me

The Flight crew didn’t serve us until about 1.5 hours into the flight because of turbulence but after it ended it was fine to move around. They served us water only and snacks and then NEVER, NOT ONE TIME came through to collect trash until right before landing about 1.5 hours later. There was absolutely no need for that. They crew was just standing around talking and visiting with each other and really never tried to see if we might want something besides water or even try to come pick up trash. This is VERY unusual for a Delta flight but it was not what I would have expected for a 4 hour flight.

The 1st class male crew member was very pleasant - the short female with round glasses , maybe in 50’s had no personality- never spoke when delivering my food, drink, & never smiled the whole trip! In fact looked annoyed when the boarding proses was happening- I would never hire this woman - unfriendly . Have never dealt with a crew member like her-

5-hour delay due to storms in Tanoa and airspace restricted by Miami traffic controllers.

A regional sized plane was used for a cross country flight with no overhead bin space. I had to "pink check" my laptop and my medications. I was NOT pleased!!!!

Absolutely nothing flight was cancelled and delayed for 2 days. Barely a heads up I want a full refund

The plane from SNA wouldn’t start after 5 tries. The team gave me an option of flying direct from LAX and giving me a Lyft ride there! Perfect!

Best airline! Always friendly and welcoming. Skyclub was great and loved the fast free wifi on board. I also love that you can pre-order your meal on the app!

Atlanta boarding crew at gate were filled with arrogance and were disrespectful. In flight crew showed indifference to the needs of passengers. This is about the flight from ATL to BDL.

Boarding was somewhat chaotic. Unable to evaluate crew or food/drink because captain kept them seated due to turbulence. Have no idea if entertainment was offered.

No lounge access with “United First” ticket. False alarm about late flight, jeopardizing connection. Wrong meal. Loose power socket would not hold plug, could not charge device. In-flight access to text messaging did not work. Toilet seat on plane would not stay up.

Crew were fine, drinks and snacks were as well but we were delayed for around 2 hrs which made our entry into Mexico delayed as well with the influx of arrivals at the same time. Sort of wasted our first day of vacation. We left Pittsburgh at 630am and did not arrive in Mexico until late dinner time.

Boarding was unorganized. They expected passengers to ask people to move their assigned seat they paid for in order to sit together. The seats even in comfort are smaller than other airlines and the flight attendants appeared not to be well prepared

Due to one crew member not showing up to work, our flight was significantly delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight in Houston to Mississippi causing us to be delayed by more than 6 hours and missing our event all together. Very disappointing. All because ONE crew member called in sick. United did grant us a $15 meal voucher, which was a small but appreciated concession that I wasn’t able to use because I ordered my lunch and paid for it before applying the concession, and the staff said it was too late to use it. Ugh! We also had a TWO delay coming back from Mississippi, but that was on American Airlines and it was due to weather, so not their fault. Anyway, not at all impressed with United’s handling of our flight and the HUGE disappointment of missing our important family event for our 90 year old mother. All that money and all that stress and emotions for nothing. Having to wait the hour to bring an employee from LAX seemed like something that should not have happened. Why don’t you have a local back-up? Santa Ana is not a little airport in a rural area.

Trip was smooth bumpy from the wind but no issues at all the crew attendant was very pleasant and had great customer service

The customer service was excellent! Check-in, baggage check-in, boarding, the flight went very smooth.

Awful. I got stuck next to a person carrying a dog and behind someone with a dog. People need to board these dogs downstairs. The cabin is crowded enough with your pets

It was delayed several hours which delayed our connection in Denver. Not happy.

Ok, but comfort was lacking as the seats were way to small

All good except paid for wifi that did not work

LIT to DFW - 3 hours late; the entire plane had been boarded before they told us there was a delay due to a weather-related ground stop in Dallas. DFW to MAY - 2+ hours late due to A/C needing to be repaired after everyone had boarded, then when we finally reach the runway, the First Officer timed out and we had to taxi all the way back to the gate and wait for a new one. I arrived in New Orleans 5+ hours later than I should have. Return flights were completely cancelled; rebooked through the app to fly through CLT instead of DFW. MSY to CLT had no issues, but CLT to LIT was delayed 1.25 hrs because flight attendants had not arrived to the airport yet. At least they didn’t make us all sit on the plane to wait for them. I should have driven.

Left from gate 30 minutes before flight. Never been late to a flight ever. It says 15 minutes before explicitly on the ticket.

Even though we left CMI late, we mostly made up the time.

Horrible - they lied to me about baggage & boarding, even though I specifically spoke to their agents the day before my flight about my issue. When I showed up they did not let me board and stranded me at my airport until I bought a new flight with money I did not have to spend.

They gave my seat away although it was a connecting flight with them and the flight was a bit delayed.

this is starting to seem like an american airlines standard. delayed flights and fake apologies… getting tired of it

Flight boarded without pilots. Sat on plane for 3 hrs. after over an hour late boarding. Plane never took off. Had to deplane near midnight. Line for rebooking was 3 hours + long. I had to leave.

Missed the flight because of them and up geting a rental car

Delayd flight out of atl as always miss my conection in dfw no flight untill next day

No problems with flight. Even though I had a short layover in DFW, I was still able to easily make my connection.

Seats suck, not enough room, overcrowded planes, hectic situation all together.

On time and fast. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

3 hour delay was brutal though not Spirit Airlines fault. the control tower would not let us take off because of weather

Beware of all the extras. Nickel and dimed. Everything was extra. It turns a $90 fare in to a $400 fair quite easily.

It would have been nice to have been on the flight

Delayed several times. Flight was to arrive at midnight and it arrive at 3 am. A 3 hour delay is already bad but one that has you arriving in the wee hour is just disruptive and overall unacceptable. The complete lack of restitution is a joke in keeping with Spirit’s reputation of ranking bottom-low in the pecking order.

It wasn’t as horrible as I would have expected, however, to not provide water and change so much for bags is a ripoff to say the least.

Cancelled my flight , currently stuck in Houston and will likely miss my cruise

The flight attendants were very personable, extremely friendly, and had a very good feeling of the energy around them not to mention they’re very funny and engaging. What made up for the discomfort of the seats and the fact that the plane sat for a long time on the Turmac. Not sure if the pilot was new, but the landing was very rough sort of like I was at a magic mountain theme park ride that was built in 1959

Unfortunately not great, my flight was canceled with no notice given. I attempted to reach out to spirit airlines and have yet to receive any correspondence. I then had to book a new flight at two times the cost of the original.
