The room was clean. However, the lock on our door did not work, so we were moved to another room. The lock on our second door barely worked. The staff seemed apathetic. The plumbing was very, very slow. We have stayed here many times in the past with good result. Overall, we had a disappointing stay this time.
Proximity to the major highway with easy access to downtown Albany
Cute room, lovely sheets, kind staff, large breakfast selection
They do have signs up "pardon the renovation mess" but the first room I was given smelled strongly of damp and mustiness. The staff quickly gave us another room without a hassle, it smelled much better but in the morning plaster had fallen off the window and ceiling.
Price, until we got there
cracked ceiling tiles, chipping paint, out of order ice machines, rust on some bathroom fixtures, etc.
bad neighborhood, dirty hotel, in need of repair, room was non smoking and smelled like smoke, toilet didn't flush, I would not go back. Ramada should take their name off this hotel.
Comfortable room, breakfast in luxurious dining room, friendly helpful staff, easy to find location near interstate.
Pool not accessible for challenged seniors, business center problems, location not near areas of interest
The bed was comfortable, I guess.
The toilet wouldn't flush, the shower was mediocre, the track to the window was FILTHY, the TV in the eating area for breakfast was loud and obnoxious, there was no outlet near the bed to plug in a phone or computer, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, etc. It was really kind of gross and I would not go back to that Ramada again. I couldn't wait to leave. I have had much better rooms for cheaper.
Hot breakfast in morning was amazing. Right off highway. Bartender went right away to get me a diet soda for my diabetic nephew.
Some of the front desk employees need customer service training
Convenient access to major highways.. Lots of shops/restaurants around.. Didn't use the shuttle but heard it is good.. Staff were friendly..
Rooms were old.. As some one had already commented, there were not any furniture except the bed and a chair (and no room to place any other furniture as well)..
-Right near the thruway -Great restaurants very close by -Freindly staff
-Rooms were outdated, cramped and there was no seating besides the bed or a "desk" chair. The hotel definitely needs to be updated and repaired. The rooms were not expensive however, for listings around $110-120/night you'd expect more.
Staff was extremely helpful and always polite, and definitely went the extra mile. The shuttle service in particular was excellent- especially on a day where due to multiple events, taxis were extremely difficult to obtain.
It's an older hotel, and it shows. Taking a shower was an adventure, as the water temperature fluctuated from freezing to scalding randomly. Area isn't super convenient.
There was nothing to like about this hotel
Everything. It was the worst hotel we had ever stayed in. Run down and badly in need of repair
I booked this on Booking.com (via Kayak) and they did not have my reservation on file when I showed up at 1:30 AM. It took me 20 minutes of calling Booking.com to get it squared away. The hotel itself was very rundown and old.
The place wasn't up to date. Some of the furniture was chipped scratched and had tears in it. The hot breakfast was served on styrofoam plates and plastic silverware and when we were leaving the hotel to get to our car we saw a used condom on the ground.
