The hotel is in the immediate neighbourhood of the old centre of Beroun on an island around which flows the main and side stream of the River Berounka and where there are the remains of old mills. The Litavka stream flows into the Berounka just a few dozen metres from the hotel and adds to the very picturesque nature of the location. The hotel is high enough not to be threatened by the high spring water. The town centre is only a five-minute walk and consists of a complex of old buildings that have been beautifully restored. Despite the old buildings, Beroun is a modern and lively town, where the local markets are known far and wide. The hotel itself stands out as a colourful modern building. It is easily recognisable and guests will always remember it very well. As you enter the foyer with the reception and Lobby Bar, you will be greeted by running water reminding you of the fact that the hotel is situated on an island. Before leaving for any of the 110 rooms, you can sit down in the Snack Bar adjoining the foyer. A lift will take you to the three floors where the en suite rooms are all equipped with telephone and television. You can choose from a broad range of rooms, from single rooms right up to suites with green, Bordeaux red or blue furniture. There is a very pleasant atmosphere in the Harmonie (Harmony) restaurant, which has a summer terrace open during the summer. The blue Matisse dining room provides a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The hall can also be adapted for conferences and receptions. The Czech and international cuisine provided ensures a wide choice of meals even for the most demanding guests. There are several set menus for groups. It goes without saying that there is a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Both restaurants are fully air-conditioned. The multifunctional Platón (Plato) congress hall can be used for all sorts of events and provides plenty of comfort for both concerts and conferences. It also serves admirably as a restaurant as well as a dance hall. The smaller Sokrates (Socrates) lounge is used for smaller events. Both halls are fully air-conditioned, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere whatever the season. There are also the Safír (Sapphire) and Eso (Ace) lounges. The hotel also runs a winter stadium in the immediate vicinity, which is open most of the year. There are also tennis courts, fittness centrum and a football pitch near the hotel. The guarded car park ensures security for cars and coaches.
Good size rooms, friendly staff, great value for money
Noisy bar 50 metres away.
Amazing value for money on the deal we received. Hotel is located close to a major road link into Prague giving easy travel to the city without the cost and noise of staying in Prague.
I was suspicious at first, because the price for the double room was way too low, 27 euro. But hotel turned out to be nice and clean, with its own secured parking and free Internet with good Wi-Fi signal.
Price and size of room
No simple food selections
Attractive price for a 3 star hotel.
Room was dusty. Hotel outside to be renovated
Everything excellent!!! Price, hotel, personel, breakfast and the city.
1. Birds in the cage and turtles in the little pool at the hall !!! 2. out of date, spent and lowly equipment and decoration. 3. not attended car park
Nice friendly staff and quiet location only 5 minutes walk to the town. Decent sized rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Parking in hotel under ground garage or secure parking in front of hotel.
Smoking is allowed in this hotel - not good! Please let free the poor demented goldfinch in the reception bird aviary, it belongs in the wild, not in a cage with budgies! Local Beroun beer not served in the hotel restaurant, only bland Plzen beer.
Staff very helpful. Breakfast was excilent
Tea/coffee making in room would help. Coffee at breakfast was undrinkable
